i have used fused claptons for mtl ok it was 2x 0.2 waped with 0.1 kanthal (i went bogeyed for a week after building that lol)
i have to agree with vb on its not the resistance thats king if your not using a mech but the size of the airflow over the coil
top tip for billet box owners that want mtl but dont use the subtank rba that most come with ,find something to make the hole smaller under the coil
i used the rubber gasket out of an isub coil cut to fit and it made as i call it a kayfun like vape
in the sub box it worked rather well at 1 ohm 15 watts and had 10 ml tank that lasted a week with high nic juice lol
on a mech i tend to like it about 0.7 to 1 ohm i
on a regulated mod you can justabout use anything but i'd suggest sticking between 0.6 to 1.5 ohm coils from a shop but mtl coils norm have smaller holes in the bottom

i started on the squonk thing about 6 months ago and here's how i went lol
clone frankenskull kit and wow it was bad
clone boxer kit not so bad but not brill
vt inbox mk1 with silly bottle ,now we getting there but batt life over 40 watts is poo
got several single coil drippers and life got better but still only had the origin tiny cloe that worked mtl
decided that mtl was waste of time squonking as can get same results from a tank with a lot less faff
got the gbox 200 and boy do this thing work apart from the silly stiff squonk system but with the pulse 22 on top at 60 watts it lasts all day and dont pee juice everywhere
iv got big hands but this is a prob with the magnetic doors with the hole cut in,ie vt inbox so when i squonk my thumb pulls the door off more often than not
the only mech squonker that idd think about getting at the moe is the new one from aspire because of the ergonomics and knowing aspire the build quality
the best single bat squonk is prob the new vt inbox with the normal bottles
tbh even with its stiff squonk and the 510 that comes lose once in a blue moon the gbox is still the best powerhouse
i still use mtl at high nic to stop my needing a ciggy and squonking is just for blowing huge ass clouds with loads of flavor
it all depends on if thats what your after but would defo recommend the pulse drippers if your new to it or you can end up wearing more juice than you vape lol

Sorry to go a bit MIA. Thank you to everyone for your advice. I have ordered some new juice from rejuiced (and other places) and have found some 1.8 ohm coils that are supposed to fit Tritons. I also discovered I had spare sub-ohm coils in the old boxes they came in so I ordered some low strength juice to use in them. I have tried them with 8mg juice but it is too harsh. I don't think the VG/PG ratio is right but it was all I could pick up at the local shop. My Evic VTwo mini fell and smashed yesterday. It was rather battered anyway and I was thinking of replacing it so I have ordered a Pico 21700 which comes with an Ello tank and 6 bottles of free juice! I already have a little Pico so I felt it was something I already know. I also impulsively bought a Cleito because I discovered it is possible to add a bigger tank to it and a couple of Nautilus 2s as they were on sale at myepack. So I am feeling excited again after my spending spree. I would like another mod soon and I am thinking about an Atlantis tank as the coils are supposed to fit Tritons. I appreciate all your help. When I first posted I was feeling the pull of the ciggies. It is unbelievable after so long but I feel I am out of the danger zone again so a big thank you to you all!  i tend to vape 3 to 6 mg juice when sub ohming but i dont sub for the nic its more the flavour and clouds i have used 50/50 juice as well as 85/15 vg/pg and although it make a small diff its defo the nic that makes it harsh so try some 3mg i can handle 6 mg up to around 30 watts and its 3 mg for any silly powers hope that helps |

is that a clone of the gizmo 24 and if so how bad is your voltage drop because i found out the 2 main probs
the spring loaded center pin is poop and if you can get hold of the solid one well worth the efort
the body of the gizmoon mine was anodized and then the threaded bit for the fire switch pushed in so to get good connection i drilled a 2mm hole between the brass and ally,tapped it and fitted a grub screw
that helped mine no end

I'm looking on the positive side and counting my blessings that I don't have this escribe thingwee to tax my limited abilities!  tbh its only realy of use if your playing with diff wires and coils as long as you stick with ss316L it should work well the other useful feature escribe has is you can limit the max power so your mum dont blow her coils up lol she loves her coral,s (dna 60 chip) and i have to say they do give a v nice vape so as long as your not after silly clouds you should be in for a treat This is the first (new to me ) regulated device Ive bought in about 5 years Im normally a mech tube kind of guy. Having uppy/downy butons is novelty enough for me lol. kinda hoping to replace the gizmo 17 with it as the mini fogger is such a pig to wick well and i likes small kits for mtl never really looked at billet box,s before because they remind me of a hammond box but with the dna 60 chip at a cheapish price and with a better understanding of how they work im gona get one the usb will prob only be used to set it up the 1st time i use it and maybe when i get new rba for it just a waiting game now till they in stock |

I see that the Bash Britain Corporation are still useless at understanding vaping. - photos from when vaping was a toddler. - terrible meaningless graphs. - someone explain closed systems to me cos i've been vaping from the start and have never come across one of these? TL;DR: CRAP. What the hell are "closed systems">? i think they meen the cig a likes and poss the new pod systems that arnt refillable by closed systems the most by e cigs in a shop is also possibly true 'i know the 1st few i got were from shops till i found this place and got a vamo from fast tech for prob less than a quarter of what it would cost in the uk i know when im being silly i can nail 10ml of juice in a 30 min lunch break but i diy soo its not a huge cost but it can add up if you dont diy not saying thats why most vape shops will try to sell a sub ohm kit as a starter setup but |

Ahh thought that might be the answer decoy thanks for that I think I've read your comments on them before saying they are pretty good as well. TJ thanks if you don't mind parting with one that would be brilliant, just let me know how much. i tend to use mine with 0.3mm ss wire(you cant use anything thicker so fancy coils are out) 2mm id and 5 to 7 spaced wraps shove some cotton in and cut it at same with as tank before sliding it in to the juice wells wet the cotton and rebuild the tan,fill then turn tank throw 2 rotations to open up the juice control and its a rather nice mtl vape watch a few youtube videos and you'll get the idear  mine on the smaller ct batt |

clones are available from china but i dont know about in the uk

it seems that peps are starting to review this mod  i thought we were supposed to be boycotting voopoo and everything  What mod is being reviewed ? the regulated pulse bit for some reason i trust your short review over any others ive seen tbh all i want is a gbox with a soft squonk and batts that stay in the mod when you swap bottles |
