Shakka D if they're PROTECTED batteries they should be good for mech mods rather than electronic ones Thanks I will be using them in a mechanical mod when I get one but in the mean time will have to purchase some AW 18650 for my VV/VW mod.

Thanks for the information, the Xtars are protected but as they may not be suitable for vaping it looks like I'll have to purchase either AW or Efest 18650 that are designed for mods.

They must say something else on them? 18650 2,600 is all OK, but are they black ended with purple or blue with silver tube sections? Hi they are black and have a white disk around the positive post, they have a silver sticker with blue writing.

Hi, not sure if this subject has already been covered, any advice on the best protected high power drain batteries suitable for vaping would be welcome. I'm interested in 18350 and 18650 cells thanks.

Hi I'm pretty new to vaping and need a little advice I have a couple of Xtar protected 18650 2600 mah cells from a LED torch they have been very lightly used and was wondering if they are similar to the AW 18650's and can be used in the same mods, they measure 18.4 x 69 mm. I have been told by a vape shop owner that the chemistry is different and they are inferior cells. Thanks

I do realise the Semovar is 22 mm but I do intend to purchace a Kayfun Lite Plus and SM Nivel Tetris Edition (extended), which comes with all the battery tubes and 3 top caps I can get them directly from Germany for £237 plus postage and delivery is 2-4 days. What I would like from the experienced users on here is advice of a suitable mechanical 22.7-23 mm mod for the Squape, the Kayun has the Semovar the Squape needs something of the same quality to go with it. Thanks Does anyone know anything about Metal Madness they make 22.6 mm mods is that a good match or will it look off. This is the link to their website. mmvapors.com

Hi guys thanks for all the replies, this forum is much more friendly than another I tried to join but they didn't reply, I was very surprised by the number of replies I feel very welcome. The VTR that was suggested is a very good sty at home VV/VW mod but not so aesthetic out on the road or in a pocket.
I welcome all the suggestions but Disco Des is correct when he says I'm looking for a mechanical mod, the Valkyrie Mod which he suggested is very nice and desirable but it isn't likely I can afford one for a couple of months. The Valkyrie is very much like the Kato Hammer in that when you look at it you say I want one, that is what I'm looking for in a mod guess I'm a little too vain when it comes to shiny little things. I thought about buying a clone Squape, that thought lasted about 5 seconds. I'm not after a large collection of mod's and rba's I just want I just want three or four of the best quality I can afford of each.

Hello all, I'm fairly new to vaping and have only been a member for a few days. The first thing I did was to read hours of posts of what new equipment I should start off with as the ecom I'm currently using is starting to literally fall apart and rather waste even more money on it realised it was time to up grade to a device where the quality of the device high level of engineering ease of use are take seriously instead of just sizzle and marketing. There are many members on this site who have given newbies valuable advice and after digesting it have decided what I will get. I was going to buy a Squape from Cloud 9 Vaping but they are out of stock as are intaste in Germany I managed to source one from Stattqualms Italian distributor Svapobar for the same price as in the UK, postage was also the same the only difference was in delivery the time it took four days instead of one. As funds are not unlimited I have to wait a week to be able to order my mod, I would love to get a Semovar but that will have to wait a couple of months so will opt for a mechanical mod the Bulldog Basic looks pretty good and I think the switch issue has been sorted out. I would love some advice from an experienced vaper who could recommend a good mechanical mod for around £60, which is the same price as the bulldog. Sorry for the long post it's my first one and I'm new to all of this.
