Well it certainly seems to be behaving better, battery voltage showing 3.2 from 3.1, and I was able to get a toot from it. found this handy dany guide on how to clean it properly - if this works I will be quite a happy camper. |

get a pin and clean out the fluff that gets stuck in the usb port, had this happen with my phone amazing how much gets stuck up there. So I got in there with a fine interstitial toothbrush thingy, it came out pretty black - trying now to see if it will take a charge... |

I'll add my vote for the Doggy styles - cheap, easy to build and tasty.
Just be careful not to cross the threads when screwing the plastic tank to the metal base (though replacements can be had).

There was a Lift tank doing the rounds as an add-on a few weeks back. IIRC it uses the same principle and only really works if you suck quite hard, so probably not much use for MTL or airy DTL vapers.
I can't see the point myself, perhaps they just wanted a novelty feature on an otherwise unremarkable unregulated but protected squonker.

I was in a similar spot to you a couple of years ago, happily using carto tanks and ego batteries. Since switched to low end VW devices and cheap clone tanks (rebuildable) plus I use Aspire CE5 clearos (with steel jackets) on my old ego batteries, but won't replace them when they inevitably die. I have had to lay out a bit of cash to get into a later geological era but I don't regret it. Hi Dom, long time no see. You calling me a dinosaur??  Erm, yep I did try some Clearos when they first appeared on the scene, no idea what version they were, early models I assume, and they weren't that great. I assume later iterations improved, are CE5's the final version? While hunting for Boge Cartos I've found a bunch of amazon and ebay sellers offering Clearos, but i've no idea what type or quality they are. I remember quite a few people here took to Clearos, and there were even people using them as 'rebuildables' if I recall correctly.  Well, that would have been me - the Kanger Evod and T3 heads were eminently rebuildable, the problem was the PC tank bits eventually fail. Aspire CE5 are indeed a well refined clearo, with vertical coil heads - pics here (though they won't deliver Aspire stuff to UK). |

i.e a cheap, good quality, reliable regulated squonker to match the market beater that was the iStick?
Since my trusty iStick has now died, I wondered if it is time to get a squonker to replace it.
Single battery, regulated, no real need for TC, suit my MTL style.
Does such a thing yet exist or are they all still silly money?
