Tx alvo - I did have a look the other day, but not very hard I'll scour it again, next time I'm in town. Well, I'd better not deprive you of them - the Mayan thing might turn out to be right

I'd just like them to stop goofing with the clocks and my sleep cycles. It doesn't make any more daylight. Midday should be the middle of the day - why do thy need to complicate everything?

I've had an idea, but need some sewing needles. I've no idea where I would get these on the high street. Would like somewhere that stocks a range of sizes...
Anybody?

I have been using lower resistance on my SDK but only since I converted it to manual - it will drain the battery quicker.
It seemed OK as auto with 2 Ohm, but it barfed with my 1.8 Ohm iMist (now works OK on manual).

Go for it Sandra - but make sure you take photos Also, you might be able to get a finer tip for your soldering iron. Look at the model number - I found Maplins had replacement ones for mine even though it is around 15 years old. Not cheap but worth it as soldering those tiny wires needs a fine tip.

I have yet to rebuild a coil, but I do know that the resistance is only determined by the total length of current carrying wire i.e from where it leaves the +ve terminal of the carto to where it contacts the -ve terminal. The effect of the diameter of coil, pitch of the spiral and the thickness of the wick would be useful to know as I'm sure the same applies to all rebuildables.

Tx gizmo - I'd figured most of that out, just want to know what the thing in the first pic is. Is it just a voltmemter, or does it do amps and ohms. Is it programmable? Most important, what is it called, in case I want to buy one
