Mixed this up last night and now steeping, i did use TPA Doubke Chocolate so hopefully not too much difference. Cheers I don't think there'll be that much difference car147 - I'm thinking of trying it with FA chocolate next time as I've developed a real love of that (The marzipan could probably be dropped to 0.25% if people are wary of using it. I like the way it enhances the doughnut flavour and makes it taste that little bit different).

So all you successful and very satisfied home eliquid mixers . . . . what would you say are your ' secrets ' to making an enjoyable vape? My top two would have to be patience - especially if you're making dessert, custard type mixes and not being deterred if everything you create doesn't quite hit the spot first time. That's the beauty of DIY you can ' tweak ' to suit your individual tastes. Pretty much what you say Perpetua Patience, and not giving up when you first start out because it tastes a bit bleugh Getting to know your flavours is another important factor (to me anyway). I only really started being successful once I started making small single flavour testers, as one flavour can come across very differently on it's own, compared to when it's in a recipe. Allow them to steep, then experiment and blend things together you feel could be good using a dripper. Some will work and some definitely won't!! Edit - also, pick some well known recipes from around the interwebz that have good feedback and give one a go to get used to the process. Other than AAEC,the diy ejuice Subreddit is a mine of info and recipes, as is Vaping Underground's diy section. There's comprehensive flavour notes on just about every concentrate out there!! I can spend hours reading stuff on both of these sites and have learnt loads, e.g using things like AP (acetyl pyrazine) to your mix's advantage

I thought it'd probably cost about £1-£1.50 per 10ml depending on the cost of the base concentrates. We are currently paying £4.50 per 10ml so it will represent a massive saving really. In my head I think of it as around 80p to a £1 for 10ml at the absolute most. For example, I worked out once that 100 mls of Castle Long Clone costs me about £8 to make. Like everyone else has said, it all depends on whether you buy bulk amounts of stuffs (like pg, vg, nic). And then there's the whole concentrate addiction to consider!! I say just go for it - once you're making juice you're happy with, the thought of spending £15/£20 on 30ml of so called 'premium' juice seems shocking (plus it's good fun)

Being a bit of a perfectionist I'm never entirely satisfied with any of my own recipes - I think I have a case of 'over-tweak-itus' - so have never felt confident enough to post one. Anyhow, I actually think this one is now done (I dare say it can be improved but it's really yummy as it is ) OK I lied, it wasn't 'done' - I've made it loads better!!It's a chocolate custard doughnut I've cunningly named Space Donut (just cos). Cap Vanilla Custard 9% Cap Glazed Doughnut 6% Cap Double Chocolate 4% FA Chocolate 4%FA Marzipan 0.5% Either FA Vienna Cream 1% or TPA Bavarian Cream 1 - 2%The marzipan is really important and won't taste as intended without it. Am sure the chocolate could be subbed for another, I just used Cap in my first version of this and stuck with it as it works well. Flavourt Chocolate makes this recipe a million times better, as does the addition of either Bavarian or Vienna Cream (other creams are to dairy tasting and don't really work)If you fancy giving this a go then please, please let it steep for 4 weeks (3 at the very least). If you try it too early I guarantee dissappointment as the custard really needs to do it's thing. P.S I mix at 50pg/50vg and is right amount of flavour %. Don't know what it's like at other ratios...

Yep, i'm happy to meet in the middle somewhere Thanks Andy, I'll probably drive though. Will see where we end up location wise and then decide train v car (this may seem stupid but i have a real phobia about being a passeger, deep seated issue from a nasty car crash years ago).

If we are up the county spacey, you are welcome to a lift up in my van if that helps!? Cheers for the offer Andy - will keep it in mind Really though, I was thinking more about the time it'll take getting there and back. I'm at the edge of the world down here !! Has a location actually been decided on yet? (I'm sure I'd end up coming even if it is near the border )

Ahhh thats interesting TallPaul70 - maybe it was something to do with that then. Just a bit annoying though, as I don't usually bother upgrading the shipping and just wait till they arrive. This time I really wanted that mod to be here sooner so went for epacket!! Will see what support say...

Thanks @yinyang - it is indeed directing me to Sing Post Thats really annoying considering I paid the extra for epacket!! Double check that you did indeed request and pay for epacket and then raise a ticket and request a refund on the shipping. Cheers I definitely did, so have just put a ticket in.

icon_shoppingm Shinyitus rules! (Think we should find a different name for mixing shinyitus) I've had a few odd looks off work mates/non vaping friends when they ask me what I'm doing at the weekend and I say 'a bit of mixing'. It's a completely normal phrase in my household now, but those who don't know about my little hobby seem to think I've taken up a DJ/clubbing lifestyle
