Looks a very well constructed bit of kit.

I hope you can find something to compensate in the hours to come! So do I. Perhaps a gallon of ale supped at my local watering hole would go some way to easing my pain?

SWMBO treated me last night to a brace of Goblin's celebrated steak&kidney puds, the new versions in the blue plastic pots.
WHAT A SWIZZ!
Both only had suet pastry lids! No sides and base! I WUZ ROBBED! (or more precisely SWMBO was).
Mortified barely covers it. I'd psyched myself up for the event with delicately prepared boiled spuds, peas, and delightful green beans, and I end up with a plateful of gloop!
I wanted to cut a gentle wedge through the side, and then sit back in awe as the thick contents leeched slowly from its glistening pastry container. Instead, I got a cowpat!
I'm inconsolable at the moment, words cannot possibly express my grief. SOB!

If a mod manufacturer wants me to afford them advertising via logos and branding, then they can jolly well pay me for the privilege.
I prefer cash, though goods in lieu will be accepted.

It's not the shine that bothers me, walking around with a mod sporting what looks disturbingly like some type of flower on the side, does. it's suttle compared to some logo that are coming out on mods these days I have to admit I don't particularly like any logo's or someones idea of a nice design on mods, the CherryBomber being a prime example of poor taste IMO.

I'd be tempted but it's a bit, well...................Girly looking. some type of wrap would sort that out if not like that shine on the black or white or could buff out the shine It's not the shine that bothers me, walking around with a mod sporting what looks disturbingly like some type of flower on the side, does.

Well done phtumshk get some Sugru (B&Q & maplin Stock it, cheaper on eBay) for the rubber seal you want. For next build you could get a USB socket and just extend the power wired to the PCB and mount it wherever suites. For a much cheaper alternative to Sugru, make yer own! It's called Oogoo, and it's made from clear silicone sealant mixed with cornstarch, instructions hereFacepalm time! I've just realised after Googling for cornstarch, that it's what the Yanks call cornflour. Huge box in the cupboard and a few tubes of silicone in the shed, it's experiment time!

How come the likes of Russel Grant have to rely on TV appearances to earn a living? Surely predicting the numbers for a triple rollover on the Euro Lottery ( and keeping them to yourself) would secure a comfortable lifestyle?

Yep, I have the one on the right in the picture. Unfortunately I drilled the cap out for a Fat Daddy before realising that it's too long! That's what you get for being in a hurry. I'm thinking of salvaging the innards and making another housing. I'd consign the iStick to the spares box TBH, but the SWMBO likes it and she's too tight to buy something else. I'm impressed with the Fat Daddy's though, they're well made parts. I bought two, a 15.5mm top cap version, and a 22mm version plus a Mosfet for a parallel mod I'm making for myself from ModMaker who seems like a pretty good vendor, parts were ordered Thursday morning and arrived Friday morning. TBH Ive bought cheaper sprung 510s but for the extra couple of £ the FD 510s are outstanding. Modmaker is my go to site for bits and bobs, ive tried saving pennys in the past buying cheaper elsewhere but its always a lottery when your not really savvy with electronics. You may pay slightly more for the bits but at least you have the reassurance there going to work as intended. I'm reasonably confident with electronics, it's been a 'back burner' hobby of mine since I was about 15. I've serviced and repaired a good number of guitar valve amps over the years, and I also make the odd one or two. There used to be a small electronics component shop not far from me, the owner used to buy job lots of stuff and you'd have to navigate your way through boxes of bits to get to the counter. What the guy who ran the shop didn't know about electronics you could write on a pin head, unfortunately the shop closed down a while ago ago after trading for nearly 30 years.

Drill the cap out and epoxy 1 of these in so it sits flush. Yep, I have the one on the right in the picture. Unfortunately I drilled the cap out for a Fat Daddy before realising that it's too long!
