If mixing for myself, I measure approximate nic & flavour with a syringe (that currently has no markings!) into a bottle of 'suspected' known volume. Then top the bottle up with VG and PG by eye... job done.  [ETA] If mixing for someone else, it's a new syringe (with markings!) and all components measured. There is a cure for that - clear nail varnish i just scratch the main lines before they dissapear with a stanley knife |

try putting the tank in the hole and whilst appplying the lightest of touches rotate the tank anti clock wise until (with any luck) you feel it drop in to the threads.
Then whilst retaining pressure try screwing it in proper.
