I agree with the VTC4/25R comparison. As both are suitable in regards to the drain, and both are GOOD batteries, the choice simply comes down to the price and the capacity. The VTC4 loses out on both counts (at the moment).
Who knows, maybe next week I'll recommend something else?
ETA: At the moment I'm looking at AW-T's offerings. I think I mentioned earlier in this thread that they're proving to be a little inconsistent so I'll probably never recommend them.

It's based on a dripper phatfil. So you squeeze to soak the wick/s then it sucks back the excess. Lazy dripping  |

Could be a partial short in the coil causing this so a coil change would be a good thing to try. The other thing is it seems from what I've read that a direct lung inhale is better on these. When vapour is that warm (hot) that might seem a weird suggestion, but a lung inhale would keep the coil a lot cooler.

We need some advice from nitecoreuk here. I've studied images from a few flashlight forums and unless they were showing fakes the boards look identical to the pic posted by scs. I am still concerned about the length of the leads left on the back of the board though. Did nitecore change the spec/wrapper of the capacitors at some point? Did they ever use steel for the pos contact and slide? ETA: Thank you VapingBad, just what was needed |

I'd say fake.
The magnet test, and the caps.
But then I go back to the pic of the back of the board and realise Nitecore (or more correctly Sysmax) would have done a much better job trimming the excess leads.

From what I see in the pic scs: That capacitor appears to be wrapped black and grey. As far as I've seen they are supposed to be black and gold. As robby said, it's only a couple of screws to lift the board enough to see clearly - you don't need to remove it fully  'd by scs |

So why after a full charge of 2 sony vtc4s in my vaporflask and 2 hours later its saying weak baterry and the percentage if jumping up and down? Dodgy set off batteries or dodgy mod? Seperate indications of the same fault. It's a bad earth on the mod. This is covered elsewhere on these forums, will try to dig up a link for you I can't find it. It wasn't a thread in it's own right, more something that came up in a thread discussing the VaporFlask V3. I wasn't too active on that one, perhaps someone could butt in with a link for us? |
