Peeps have been running pure Nickel alongside Ni200 for months now on the DNA40 and the general concensus among them is other that a temp adjustment is needed, but it's only a small amount. The fact that you believe the blurb shows you would rather trust a vendor, whose job is to make money off you, than the joint knowledge of a large group of peeps that have real world experience. Vaping Bad has already left this thread. I'm taking MY leave now. Just take your own advice. |

OK. So now you say Evolv the manufacturer of the board are wrong. You of course know better, you are saying there is no difference in the resistance of the 2 wires. Well Hyndman industries, resistance wire experts if anyone is quote the resistance of the 2. tested, not pulled out of their ass, like your opinion. For AWG 30 wire at 68f (per ft.) Ni200 =0.5970ohm Pure nickel =0.4478 ohm Now I'm pretty sure those numbers are different. Not slightly different. Completely different. So would the boards reading of temp be. So stop presenting your over inflated opinion and suppositions as facts. I was right about the bs. It's not about the reistance satdumbum, it's about the change in resistance when heated. Ni200 has a temperature coefficient identical to pure nickel. |

I just don't get that mate. The steam engine calc tells me I'm only drawing 5.5 amps at 30 watts. Not that I ever enjoy or use 30 watts. Maybe I'm missing something. When doing the calculation for a regulated mod use 2.5Volts for the battery. This allows for losses and a little overhead for safety. |

I'd be tempted to try a nickel build on a different atty Kandesys. A poor 510 connection could show like this too. The adjustable connection of the Taifun has been good on everything so far, but I've just tried an erl clone, with the same results.
&i It IS looking bad isn't it? Seems to be the end of my short lived Smok bromance too I HATE being wronged by a manufacturer. |
