Good news . . . . bad news then lynwlt, just a thought - your friend couldn't have turned off the Earl in error could he? I've known someone else do similar on the forum, then think it was borked. Which it may still very well be, clutching at straws really before you abandon all hope for the device. That was meeee lol lynwlt have a try of pressing both arrow buttons at the same time its a "safety" feature which locks the device and can only be released by pressing both arrows I had the same panic when I did it to my Earl, alternatively try only 3 clicks on the square power button some of the clones have a 3 click "lock".

I have just one of those packs and have probably only used about a dozen of the pads (if that) over 6 months I have a little baggie full of ready cut wicks and just top that up with a couple of pads worth every now and again lol

This is where the spreadsheet hubby suggested I keep comes in handy, if I even suspect he's about to say something I open up the spreadsheet and show him just how much less I am spending even with all the padded brown envelopes arriving most days

Theres no rhyme nor reason to it - I placed 2 orders with FT on the same day thinking that the Istick would be slower because its a battery completely forgetting I'd included a mini torch which contained a battery in the 2nd order as it was the iStick shipped the next day 22nd August and the larger order didn't ship until 26th August BOTH were sent Singapore Post - today I received the larger 2nd order but theres no sign of the iStick yet

I know it's a bit sad, and I'm sure I'll grow out of it, but, in the name of keeping an eye on the dreaded shinyitus (well, not that dreaded and very enjoyable, really) I have been keeping track of how much I've spent on vaping compared to how much I would have spent on ciggies. I have bought three box mods, 3 emow type batteries, about 11 tanks (with only half delivered!), 6 batteries for the mods (posh ones), a mixing starter kit, stuff for building coils, a half dozen concentrates, what looks like a 20 year supply of Japanese cotton, and enough juice to have a bath in it (oh, and FAR TOO MANY replacement coils). 66 days in and the net gain is still £154.89p. Then again, towards the end, I was spending an AWFUL lot on ciggies... Must sort out one of them 'vaping since' banners. (It's sydsut 's fault I got shinyitus, he posted about a really good value Athena box mod, I got one and I haven't been the same since....) Don't grow out of it - I've been keeping an excel spreadsheet since I started vaping and it's one of the things that has really helped me seeing all the savings I've made. My shineyitis has now slowed a bit however it's been really useful seeing that even when I do think I've gone a bit OTT on mods or juice that its still a lot less than I would have sent up in smoke with nothing to show for it previously. Although I was on 40 a day when smoking I've deliberately set the weekly "what I would have spent on stinkies" to 20 a day on the grounds that I would have had to cut my spending to that anyway as I couldn't have afforded to keep spending that kind of money, I also make sure every single penny I spend on vape related purchases is recorded on the sheet including post & packing charges. When the price of ciggies goes up in the budget I do up the weekly "not spent" amount to reflect it as I know damned well I wouldn't have quit any other way and therefor would have had to bear that extra cost. Over the past 16 months of vaping I would have spent at least £3906.18 on stinkies instead I have spent £678.34 on equipment and £545.87 on eliquid, and I have still saved £2681.97 I have loads of stuff I could sell or trade if I wanted and a ton of juice for swaps or give aways. It also means that I don't tend to have to think "can I afford this new shiney thing I fancy?" because the fact is that of course I can given how much I am saving every week. Instead its more a case of "just how many tanks/mods/drip tips do you actually need? and where the heck are you going to keep them?" The spread sheet also shows me that my shineyitis is now under control and my spending has slowed considerably from the first few months and has settled into an average spend of around £10 a week there's even been a month or 2 with NO spending *gasp* When my husband suggested keeping a spreadsheet to me I went along with it initially to humour him and to show him that even though there were padded envelopes and lots of boxes arriving here almost daily I was still saving him money, but as I watched the savings side grow it's become a great way to reaffirm just how brilliant it's been to make the switch to vaping and thats without the health benefits which are priceless!!

I feel the same as you - I'll admit I would like to try Milkman as so many people rave about it however I've tried a few juices that other people think are amazing and either I've found them horrible or they aren't anything like as nice or flavorsome as I thought they'd be. The problem with milkman is a) its flipping expensive and b) I've tried more than one strawberry milkshake and not found a single one yet that I'd buy again combine those 2 and I can't see me trying it any time soon.

I don't understand the issue with banner ads at all, it allows everyone here to be able to be a part of a friendly supportive vaping community for FREE, forum hosting is not cheap especially for a forum with the amount of traffic and users that this one has, moreover theres plenty of admin with this board going on behind the scenes even with proboards support. With a privately hosted board that admin time increases tenfold and thats just the backroom stuff, making sure its backed up, security patched etc. Proboards have overheads so they use advertising to defray those costs and yes probably turn a profit, and whats wrong with that? Chrissie allows vendors to come here and effectively advertise their profit making businesses for FREE in return many of them pass on a discount for forum members to use, no one seems to have a problem with that, nor do I suspect would anyone try to find a way to block those threads, if people aren't interested in them they simply pay no attention to them, and its as simple as that to ignore the 2 banner ads on the forum.
