Minty menthol! I didn't smoke them but I do occasionally vape them. Especially spearmint. It seems to cleanse the palate Never been a fan of menthol but perhaps i should grin and bear it if it will clear this crap out of my mouth. You want me to send you some snake oil @windows ? Ive got a reasonable stash . Not 100% vg but not all menthol and nothing else ? Might refresh your taste buds .

I`m not assuming who has damaged what or what has gone wrong leo Just that threads are easily damaged (especially small fine ones like 7x.5 510`s and there are a lot of cheap shitty attys out there which could damage threads) It was fine when sold , it was fine for 4+ months . the majority of sellers will just say you buggered it up . And you can disagree and shout about consumer law / sale of good act till the cows come home. You will only get a refund or exchange if the seller decides they want to do that. Unless you get proof it was sold faulty and go to small claims court the sale of goods act won`t do anything . No one other than a court can force a seller to do any thing . Trading standards won`t care. Its not a criminal offence so they will say go to small claims. If you go to court unarmed with proof and the seller turns up with a statement from the manufacturer it was made to spec and they believe it is user error or miss use most likely you would loose and have all costs to pay (£25 court fees, travel etc). I have been taken to court before due to a sale . I was 100% sure I was right and the buyer wrong. It was more hassle and cost to defend what I knew to be right . But I was right so I didn`t back down . I won they lost . It cost them far more to take me to court than the item was worth .

Warranty`s only cover things faulty buy manufacture . No warranty can say something is indestructible or un breakable buy miss use . Thats the problem that will be faced with damaged threads. Did it die ? or did you kill it ??????

I doubt there is any consumer law that covers stripped threads though . Given that the equipment is meant to have things attached to it frequently using said threads then they have to be fit for purpose. If they are faulty during the guarantee period in the UK our laws would cover it. The whole warranty thing with vaping equipment is a bit of a joke at the moment because we have vendors handing out warranty cards that cover 3 months for some MODs and legally they would loose if challenged. The chances of a warranty covering a thread are pretty much nill unless its faulty straight from the box. 510`s are very fine , there quite easily diy fck`ed . A person could fck the threads in one day if they were clumsy enough . Screw on a poorly threaded cheap atty and you could kill them. No consumer law will help, You would have to prove the threads were faulty from the start (its not like there has been a flood of people moaning about failing threads on VS) Trading standards won`t help (they only advise on the law) so paying somewhere to test the quality of the threading and metal then taking the vender to small claims would be the only choice. The only hope is the vendor sending it back to VS for them to fix and hope VS do it out of good will and don`t charge. It seams odd VS can`t supply a replacement 510. Ive looked at all the packaging on my VS and no where can I see country of manufacture so chances are with no spares VS don`t make them just have them shipped in from China . I agree a 3 month warranty on things like the board , switches etc is pretty crap . a 3month warranty on those parts probably wouldn`t stand up in court but it would still take small claims to get that one sorted too.

If the Vendor is in the UK then it is our Consumer Laws that cover it and the legality of a 4 month warranty is questionable based on our laws and would not stand up in court. Good luck with getting this sorted. I doubt there is any consumer law that covers stripped threads though .

good idea I will try and do a search for them as it might save some time and I will be able to check them out in case anyone else wants to do it Some of these they seem to cut off at 2.5 V or > 3 A, not all in the list are the same. But the post on here linke to a review where the gut did some sensible testing. I don`t think it was me VapingBad ? Good link though as I needed one For a quid Ive ordered one so if you never hear from me again they are rubbish and my house burnt down

Thinner the wire = more resistance Thicker wire = less resistance The longer the piece of wire the more resistance it will have so more coils = more resistance as you use more wire. Thicker wire is easier to use than thinner wire and makes a sturdier coil .
The main questions people will need to know is what is your target resistance and what mod are you using it on ? Do you have something to check the coil resistance with ?
I like my coils anywhere from .7-1.2ohm and I pretty much only use .25mm twisted wire to cover that .
