Wonder if they're sent away to a different factory for assembly due to the black being coated? Grasping at straws though as it doesn't make much sense unless they changed the 510 supplier after running a certain batch off as you've said all the online pics are showing the black and silver being different. Weird.

Now go buy something else - cheap. Wish I'd bought another one when they were really cheap on Fasttech as there's nothing that comes close for the price, think they were around about the 36 quid mark in the sale but I'm going to grab a Tesla Wye 85w for work as they look like a light pocketable mod. Can't thank the gents at Evolv enough. Didn't ask for proof of purchase and fixed it for free (which was lucky as I bought it off here )

striker42 what's the size of the existing board? Might be able to transplant a Switchfet V2.5 for £6.99. SPECIFICATIONS Footprint:- 13mm x 13mm x 4.2mm Mosfet:- 30v 100A LFPAK, RDSon 1.35m Ω (typ), VGS(th) 1.46v (typ) Operational voltage:- 2.7v - 4.20v Battery cut-off :- 2.7v Idle current :- typical 1.3μA max 3.3μA Reverse polarity protection :- Yes Board amperage Limit :- 50A Exactly what I had in mind, but how it works, I know not. Will call upon VapingBad for some assistance on it. Looks like a switched negative so should be easily enough wired in for you soldering ironed peeps

Evolv has replied and they've kindly issued me with an RMA VapingBad I've got nothing but admiration for their customer service. I suppose this is the difference between cheaper stuff and somewhere who stands by their boards. It'll be posted to the U.S of A tomorrow then the wait begins. I've missed the ickle fella

Yip that's exactly what I've done. Got an email back with the ticket number just waiting for their reply vb. if the worst comes to the worst I'll just have to buy a new mod. It's my own daft fault for giving everything else away until I buy something I'm stuck. Thank the Lord I was down to 3 mg juice or I'd be climbing the walls wanting a fag hah

Yeah been having a good look over it VapingBad but can't see any damage. Escribe was showing one battery at 4.9 and the other cell as 0.1 so not sure what's going on. Checked voltages of batteries and tried other matched pairs in but nothing. still read 4.2 when taken out so not too worried but it's kerknackered on the sister board side I think. Exact same as these on the evolvforum forum.evolvapor.com/topic/65612-therion-dna-250-166w-check-battery/ I've emailed evolv so I'll see what they reply but it's a sad day

So went to pick up my C2D1 and didn't realise that it was plugged into the USB at the time so it yanked the cable out. Now it won't turn on. Quick flash of the welcome screen then nothing. If I keep the power button pressed its showing the batteries as nearly empty even though I've swapped them for a new set of charged ones. Any ideas VapingBad or any of the other DNA guru's? I might have knackered the daughter board. Could be the fuse I spose as after a quick google it's white not green. Fk it's my only frickin mod. Aaargggghhhh
Looks like it it may be the charge board as if it's connected to the charger it will switch on but it's showing nothing going into the battery. Could be the onboard fuse too according to t'internet but I've tried bridging it and still no joy. Time to boot the laptop up and see what escribe says coz it may be possessed escribe is showing one cell on 0volts and the other normal. Set as two battery etc so I'm hoping it is just the fuse. Now to find someone who can bloody solder and I might as well order a pack of 10.
