I think you need to be careful with these clone dna30s, i spoke to the vendor last night about the problem i had with my clouper 30 and he told me that 11+ mine had failed badly, 2 caught fire and i think mine would have done the same had i not had it in front of me at the time, i had fitted magnets to the battery compartment and was able to get the battery out quickly, this was out of the blue, it had worked perfect before, i would seriously consider taking the battery out before leaving the mod unattended for any length of time, not scaremongering but better safe than sorry.. mine was not a focal mod.

I fancy trying mine again after reading your posts.Do you just countersink the holes.Do you take the pos.pin out first to protect the same? I took the pin out Ron,held it in some pliers and countersunk the pin, then done the same to the neg on the deck, we are not talking loads here, just a small amount on both makes it a lot easier for a old fart like me.

Yes it does, run time that is, not worried so much about the high wattage because i rarely go over 25w, am i right in thinking that if i get something that is capable of high watts it is less stress on the board running it well below its potential. Couldn't hurt as you're not stressing the chip by pushing it to the limits but in an ideal world manufacturers would be making stuff which would cope with the stated specs no matter how hard it was pushed (that's not the case sometimes but damnit they should oooh and they do a range of silicon skins if they tickle your fancy Ok dalealan thanks for you input, much appreciated, not interested in the skins (i am a old git, 68 and counting lol) just looking for something reliable, will keep my eyes on the reviews for the SIG

Yes i was looking at that earlier, like i said i know nothing about what board i should go for as that seems to be the major fail on a lot of these vw mods.

Quite right sir.. i suffer from Age-related macular degeneration (bleeding at the back of the eye) years ago you would of gone blind but now if its caught in time your sight can be saved via a course of injections directly into the affected eye, i have had it in both eyes, glad to say i only needed 3 injections in each eye but once you have had a bleed there is a certain amount of scaring which does affect your vision, yea its a pain but i look around at young kids far worst off than anything i have had and think how lucky i am.
