1300maH battery should take around 3 hours or so to charge fully. I'd honestly start using it and charge it once it's down. A few charge/discharge cycles will let you know if your charger or battery has a problem. Hey thatguy. Ok so I've started using it and it seems to work fine, however it's making a noticeable crackling sound at the end of every vape. Is this normal and to be expected?

Update: So my KangerTech EMOW arrived this morning and it's a really nice looking device. I haven't used it yet however as I thought I'd fully charge it first (I'm a bit weird like that) And that's the thing - how long should this 1300mAh battery be taking to charge? I plugged it in through a wall adaptor this morning for a couple hours, then unplugged and left it while I went out, then plugged it back in when I got home and all up it's got to have been charging for six odd hours now. I also tried it through a USB port on my computer for 30 or so minutes of that time, but either way the light just stays red.
Is this normal for a first charge? At what point should I be thinking of contacting myepack.co.uk and reporting a faulty battery/charger?
Thanks again guys!

Hi again. LEt me point you to a few more sites for trying e liquid cheaply. mr e cig - hangseng and dekang £1.50-£1.85 /10ml smoke rainbow -several brands around 50p for a 1ml sample Joose Juice £1.49 for 10 ml samples, or $7.49 for 30ml and 30ml free These should let you try a good range of flavours to find what you like. Joose Juice and mr e cig both allow you to choose from a range of nicotine contents so you can choose less than 18mg if you feel it's better for you. Good choice of kit in the emow, but would be a good idea to have a spare battery to use while yours is charging, and a couple of extra clearos to let you have a few liquids ready to smoke at one time is nice. Good luck with vaping. Remember, we're always here to hep, or just chat with. Thanks, this all sounds good advice. I'll check out those sites for my next juice order and you're right about getting a spare battery and clearo or two. I was thinking of maybe getting the mini protank 3 and the vision spinner 2 to mix it up a bit. Would these be decent choices to go with the emow? Or is there anything else that does just as good a job at a lower price? Thanks!

Hi to everybody who has said hello and thanks for your warm welcomes Update: I've taken the proverbial plunge and ordered the Kanger EMOW Starter Kit from myepack.co.uk, along with three 10ml 18mg bottles in the following flavours: RY4, coffee and vanilla mint. I have no idea how long those will last me, but it's not too crucial at the moment as I'm trying to first cut back on the fags and then quit after a while once I've got my head properly around this whole vaping gig. At that point I'll buy a back-up battery, head, etc and get serious about not smoking fags again. One thing I didn't mention is that for the last few years I've only smoked 1mg cigarettes. I went from 8mg to 1mg essentially overnight, and at first (and for at least a week) I couldn't taste anything when I dragged on a 1mg. It literally felt like smoking thin air. But once that week had passed, 1mg smokes began to taste like normal fags to the point now where an 8mg cigarette tastes way too strong. I occasionally smoke Drum Gold roll-ups with filters, which don't taste too strong and are about on par with a 1mg normal fag more or less. So I'm not quite sure where 18mg bottles are going to fit in all of this. It'll be interesting to see if they burn my throat off the first couple of days. Being e-cigs I assume they won't, but who knows?

OK, thanks again all for your help. I've narrowed down to either the EVOD glass or the emow. Which of those two would you recommend? Also, if I go for the EVOD glass could somebody link me to a reasonably priced battery I can upgrade with? Something like 1000+mah. Thanks They will vape the same as they use the same heads. Mow looks better and holds slightly more but only looks good on the Emow battery and the Vision Spinner V2 imo. Out of all the gear i have and have reviewed the evod glass and the mini protank 3 are the 2 i still use daily. Huge range of both normal and variable voltage batteries here www.ukecigcabin.com/category/individual%20ego%20batteriesSent from my Galaxy Note 2 Out of interest, what has kept you using the glass but not the mow? Is it purely the look or something to do with the functionality of the two devices? BTW, thanks for your reviews, very informative and entertaining. They've helped narrow me down to these two devices.

Hey guys, I'm assuming that the 1.5 ohm coil heads are better than the 2.2 ones, right?

One last question... do those EVOD kits produce a reasonable amount of smoke (vapour)? Because I want one that does so I can look cool

Wow, thanks for all the advice and your warm welcomes. I've decided, on your recommendations, to scrap the first two (CE5) starter kits and likely go the EVOD route instead. Also, I'll consider buying from myepack.co.uk since everybody here seems to recommend it and I'm sure I won't have too much difficulty finding something else to spend my Amazon vouchers on So that being said, I probably should have mentioned that being able to carry the e-cig in my pocket is a must. The EVOD is compact enough to do that, right? Ok, time for some more opinions... What's this like? Mini Protank 2 Kit Black Is it too small? Although I want something compact, I also want to get a strong vape from it. If not that, which of these two EVOD kits should I go for? EVOD Starter Kit Black
or EVOD Glass Starter Kit
Is the glass one much better? Finally, if I want to upgrade the battery on these I can do so easily right? Thanks!

That title just about covers everything. So yeah, g'day vaping experts! I have a story to share with you... last night I decided I'd dive into the world of vaping, so I had a look on Amazon (because I have a gift card to use) and narrowed my selection down to a few devices. Before making my decision I figured I should at least do a modicom of research, so I did a Google search and it brought me almost immediately here. Now I'm sure you're all wonderful people, but I've got to tell you, you've thrown a bit of a spanner in the works guys. From quickly browsing this forum I've gone from "yeah this starter kit is pretty cheap, I'll get this one!" to "ok, maybe I should get the Invaporator 9000, attach it to the Indico Pro Series Plus and then add the Super A.I. moderator model 546839, not forgetting to upgrade the battery to a 2500 ml-6579". Hahaha in other words, it all sounds kind of confusing. So I was hoping I could throw a couple of models at you and get some opinions on what they'd be like. Basically I've been looking at getting a ego-ce5 style device. I want something that is cylindrical and fairly unobtrusive. My intention is not to give up cigarettes immediately, so I probably won't need like a thousand backup batteries, coils etc to start with. Another option could be one of the EVOD style thingys, which I've noticed have been recommended in quite a few newbie threads I've clicked on here. Are they significantly better than the ego ones? If so, why? Anyhow, I'll post a few links of the ones I've been looking at, and would greatly appreciate it if you wouldn't mind taking a look and telling me what you think. Please don't spare my feelings - if I've linked to a steaming pile of shite, by all means point and laugh at me and I won't be the least bit offended Ok, first up is this fairly smart looking kit. It ranks very highly on Amazon based on customer reviews, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything as I'm sure your average user isn't near as knowledgable as most of you lot.
Liquipal starter kit
That's probably the one I was leaning towards most. But next I came across this, which is much cheaper (albeit with nowhere near as many extras) This one also has an impressive sounding battery, I think. But is it too cheap? Would I be better off spending the extra on the Liquipal? E-Shisha starter kitFinally, I saw this EVOD one which is made by Kanger, who I'm assuming are a good name based on customer comments. The only thing putting me off one of these is that it looks pretty chunky, but I could live with that if it's a better option than the ego-ce5 style ones. Oh, also this comes with two 650mAh batteries, whereas the Liquipal one comes with two 1100mAh ones. Hmmm. And one last question... do you think this EVOD would be as good as the EVOD usually linked to on this forum? Kanger EVODOk, I know that's a lot of questions, so thanks in advance for any answers. It's really appreciated! And by the way, if there are any better options on Amazon you know of for a beginner vaper, by all means let me know. Thanks.
