I using the 1.8ohm coils and will be sticking with them as it allows me to go lower power on the DNA30 chip if needed with it's 4v minimum limit.

YESMy kayfuns and taifuns are teetering on the edge of extinction as we speak. On day 6 now running 2 x minis with BVC coils. If anybody is worried that they could be "the game changer that never was", they need to try one. £20. Don't like it, get half your money back selling it on. The draw adjustment is superb; no faffing with air hole screws, just adjust and vape on. I used to have a Kayfun and couldn't get on with it - too much faffing getting that perfect vape. The aspire is great, just fill and vape, can't get any easier than that.

The matching acrylic tank is also available next week. These look lovely! Might have to invest in one of these Those pictured above and only available for the big Aspire at the moment. There is a half acrylic and stainless steel tank that looks really good.

I thought so, cool though to have confirmation that it's ok to use. Isopropyl alcohol can be bought cheaply in large quantities off ebay.

Well there we go at 8:15AM the battery finally gave up with the voltage no load at 3.1 volts. The Sony VTC4 runs around 80% longer than the 1200mah lipo in the small shark. With the VTC5 I would expect to get over 100% longer runtime.

Same here as I don't really know. In the past I have just rinsed coils under the tap after a dry burn. With these Aspire coils being designed more like a carto they die badly if you dry burn them. Yup, they do indeed. I found that out the hard way Nasty burned carto taste, not good.

Again there is 20% of something else added to this. I'm sure someone will be able to provide a more informative insight into this once everyone awakens from their slumber I'm pretty new to vaping and never used alcohol to wash anything to do with my vape (I normally just dunk everything in water and clean them out that way, with the exception of dryburning coils, which unfortunately cant be done with these). Due to this, I'll also be looking into the best way to clean them, so I'll keep my eye on this thread when the experienced members start commenting Same here as I don't really know. It's a tricky one this as we are breathing this in our lungs. Definitely isopropyl alcohol is not to be consumed as it is 99% pure and should just evaporate after time. I have used it to clean flux from PCB's and it leaves no residue once evaporated. Was just wondering there, I have a few bottles of Absinthe thats 160 Proof (80%) that someone brought me from their Holiday abroad. Wonder if that could be used? It sure tastes strong enough to be able to melt anything it touches! Again there is 20% of something else added to this.

But for safety, I think people lean towards Vodka Vodka is only about 40% pure and what else has been added to it?

Well isopropyl alcohol is supposed to be over 99% pure alcohol. I've never cleaned coils with alcohol before. Do you just let the coil soak for a certain length of time? People seem to be referring to the fact that its dangerous to ingest Iso, so they keep away from it when using it to clean coils. "As llong as you are rinsing after soaking it's fine. But it is technically a solvent. Soaking for a few minutes will yield about all of its benefit so it might be overkill to soak longer than that. While it is pretty mild as solvents go it is harder on plastics than metals. It can make plastics brittle (as well as o-rings) causing cracking. My opinion is it's relatively safe if rinsed thoroughly and allowed to dry. Any residues left are of insignificant quantity to cause harm That being said I dont do it. I just dont think it's necessary as normally rinsing with filtered water does enough for me" It's a tricky one this as we are breathing this in our lungs. Definitely isopropyl alcohol is not to be consumed as it is 99% pure and should just evaporate after time. I have used it to clean flux from PCB's and it leaves no residue once evaporated.

A head lasts me 4 days which isn't too shabby considering that a wick in a rebuildable will last about the same. Problem is with this is the Aspire heads are £2 a piece, a lot more expensive than changing the wick in a rebuildable.

Just did a quick Google search, and found a thread where someone was saying it was BAD to use iso to clean the heads. I'm not 100% sure as to why though, so I dont want to say for definite and then end up leading you mis-informed Maybe some else can confirm this?
