Just make sure it's very thin. Otherwise, your bottom plate will be crooked.

Update on mine... Started to misfire again after a few days. Probably for the same reason as Pep's. So I put a small rubber o-ring under the connector and all is well.

I'm not going to mess around with scraping or sanding. The half turn trick works and this little guy vapes like a champ. If it ain't broke...

A testament to the hardness of the anodized finish: I tried to scratch off the finish where indicated but couldn't (at least with a knife). Anyway, relying on the half turn mentioned above to keep the Donkey from going wonky.
I've been using it all day today at work (shhh! Don't tell.) Love it.

What? NEVER! Pep, I feel your pain. Such an expensive and long-awaited toy with no joy... My advice is to try my method and, better yet, get Multimeter Boy to do it for you in the interest of domestic harmony

My tool kit is even worse. Used a piece of cloth, index finger, brute force and bloody ignorance

That was mine he's talking about. I don't know why that fixed it. None of the parts seemed dirty or tarnished. Maybe it was just moving them all about that did the trick.
Good luck tomorrow!

Hi everyone. I'm a longtime member of ECF, a French forum and more recently UK Vapers and Vaporwall. I found this site today looking for help sorting out a problem with my new Microstick. I'm an American working in a Lycée in Montpellier. Been vaping since the introduction of the nasty cig-a-likes in about 2008. Never got completely off the cigs until I got into rebuildibles and mods. Thanks all of you in the Microstick folder for your help

OK, I'll go post in the New member's thread. I've been too obsessed with getting this thing working to think about anything else.

Hey Pep! I'm the guy in Montpellier. No vodka for me. After all, I live in wine country Got it to work with the wire trick. Not there yet but at least it was some progress. Felt good.
