I've been wanting to make a mechanical box for a while. Is cutting with a dremel easy enough?
What's put me off is I don't own any tools so would have to buy whatever is needed.
How long did it take you start - finishing?

Totally agree @jerri and that's the reason I keep a plumeveil with the same coils I've had for months now.. It just works and works well so when another atty goes tits up it's always there to fall back on. Be it an ego and a protank or a mech and a dripper, also have a backup.
Only thing worse then a bad vape day is when you don't realise you have ran out of juice until 10am on a Sunday morning and are totally screwed.
Thankfully now all the £1 shops and Nisa shops around here sell juice for those dreaded emergencies. I now keep a stockpile and keep it topped up regularly.

sydsut it's one of these.. www.fasttech.com/products/1853404Really handy for your mod, a battery and a bottle of juice and can be clipped to bag or similar. Its a clone of a "vapesox" which sell for £25 over here, pretty much a 1:1 clone and for the price well worth having.

But at well over double the price of kanthal ( 317L 0.4mm £5.49 for 10m VS Kanthal 0.4mm £1.90 for 10m ) I will stick with kanthal Excerpt from HEREFair enough For me it offers enough benefits to justify the price.

No? 90% of the ones on Amazon will have came from China with a huge markup on them. I have the 2 posted and they have been fantastic, with over 300 positive reviews I'm not the only one either =/ As I said each to their own, I believe QC will be better vis Amazon or a UK vendor but you crack on it will be too late to argue when your house burns down With the reviews on the one you linked you I would be concerned about burning the house down as well The first review is in capitals stating "DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT" Personally haven't burnt 1 house down as of yet

Question for you all, don't ever remember getting smokers tongue strange!!. But you weren't really enjoying the flavour of cigarettes.. Well I wasn't anyway. With vaping you are bombarding your tongue with flavouring vapor particles day on, day out

Difference for me is the quickness that the coils heat up and cool down. Kanthal seems to have a lag in reaching its full "ooomph" where as with this it's instant. How pliable it is also is what has me sold, it's soo soft and stays put soo much easier than kanthal

I read a while back that Gplat was just 317l welding wire will try find link EDITfound link look hereHence the title "Gplat for the WORKING man" Even if it's not exactly the same it performs EXACTLY the same. I have built identical builds side by side and there is absolutely no difference at all. Just recoiled an atty with the 24g and it really is just a dream to work with. The fact it has all the tension taken out the wire makes wrapping with it soo easy.

Been through a lot of high end stuff & usually buy the clone version to compare , I think the sheer volume of different mods has dampened the highend market abit & the Chinese have upped the quality of their clones considerably . My last bit of vape mail was a clone Sat 22 & it's fantastic quality, at £7.50 compared to £100 + it's a no brainer really . I've been on this journey for 2 and a half years & I don't get excited as I used to when the latest 'must have' mod or atty appears , I just wait for the reviews before deciding to buy , gone are the days for lists & waiting for months on end for something to turn up . Have also been at it for about 2.5yrs and wish I could say the same I'm still bloody dreadful for buying into the next "thing" and every gadget/accessories I can get. As long as you can find out who the clone manufacturer is then you can pretty much make sure to get a decent 1:1 if you watch some reviews and do your homework, like I say, some clones have definitely improved on the original design.. Thr orchid being the main one that stands out to me.
