I am looking to buy a little blow torch for flaming my coils, does anyone have any experience of a decent one that is not going to set the place on fire, reading some horror stories on amazon reviews I thought I would ask here instead.

Personally I wouldn't buy a blow torch from China but each to their own No? 90% of the ones on Amazon will have came from China with a huge markup on them. I have the 2 posted and they have been fantastic, with over 300 positive reviews I'm not the only one either =/

I have to admit that I got mine from fasttech .... Large Butane Iron melting handheld torch yes I KNOW the title is enough to put anyone off, and yes the 1st time I used it I wore oven gloves to fire it up... But its been brilliant! cost £6 and it stands nice and steady if needs be but I normally hold it in one hand whilst I flame other with tweezers/coil.

tbh if you were penny pinching you can just hold your microcoil (pinched together with tweezers) under the gas flame of your hob, but agree, a blowtorch is handy.
I'm such a klutz I ruin the coil just walking to kitchen and multi tasking to light hob?..... its ruinous!

Whatever you do, get one that you can operate with one hand. (DJSs top tip for blow torches...)
