It is quite odd on it's center post air flow design. A while back I got a Shield RDA that has air flow coming from the bottom and through the negative post. Its alright but I like a lot of air flow and it was limited. This only has one post so I think it would be even more limited on air flow. Never know though. I just know I have a kayfun and a russian 91% I never use anymore mainly because of their limited air flow.
I just put an order in for the kanger sub tank with rebuildable coils and pre made coils. Hoping it has the air flow of the Atlantis sub tank but with beefier coils I can build myself. It also holds 6 mil of juice. It is a 25 mm tank, but with my box mods that really does not make a difference.

O.O looks like you got an arch across something. If its staying closed then you probably took out your resistor. It kinda amazing how much abuse a mosfet can take and still work.
I woke up one morning not long ago and grabbed my little box mod. Half asleep eyes squinting I threw in a battery in the wrong direction since it was a parallel build. 2 seconds later I had a fireball in my hand and it blew off all the solder joints on the negative side of the batteries.

When I build a mosfet build I do it in series anymore. Since I try and stay at .3 and higher with a mosfet (most of the time .4/.5) when its in series at 8.4v the coil gets just as hot as if I was running a .1/.2 ohm at 4.2v parallel.

Well although mosfets can handle low ohm builds its not recommended. Most people recommend 0.5 ohms and higher with a mosfet. I'd say try it at a .5 and see how it does. I never build below .2 so I can't really say how it does at .1.
Have you checked the 510 with the RDA off. See what kind of voltage your getting across the center pin and base. Make sure there is not something maybe making a dead short once the atomizer is on.
Looks like you have a FDV V4 510 there. I know one time I had got a little piece of kanthal right beside the center pin and when I put an RDA on it shorted out but was clear with the RDA off. Lol took me a bit to figure out what was going on.

What size coil are you running? That would be bad @ 1.0 ohms, but not so bad at 0.2/0.3 ohms. Also Is your mosfet grounding out at the top metal piece or at the batteries maybe making contact to the box at the bottom on the negative side? Not sure if it would give an issue of being hot, but the only thing I know with mine is I make sure at both places nothing is making contact with the metal of the box and from your pictures you have posted you have the mosfet heat sink open.
I always take my heat shrink all the way up to the top past that heat sink so nothing makes contact. At one time or another I had auto fires with one or the other. Not saying you are having these issues, I'm just trying to see the differences between your build and mine.
Also the one you see with open copper wiring has rubber bed liner sprayed inside the box making the entire interior of the box non conductive.

Tonight's toy. Aqua V2 in dripper setup with SMPL mod. Got this in the mail for review the day before yesterday and been breaking it down and putting it through it's paces. It is a really nice Tank when I had it set up for RTA. Flavor is spot on and it reminds me of a Orchid as far as taste. It's air flow is I'd say 3/4 of the air flow of an Orchid, but still very open. Today I switched it to RDA setup. In this set up you remove the tank and pop on the dripper section. Then just Wow, just WOW O.O. It's a good tank for sure, but I tend to like my billow and Orchid better. It has the same type of set up. Under coil air intake, small chamber what not, but now with the RDA section on it you have two large air intakes on the side PLUS the under coil air intake feeding below as well. What it lacks in air flow as an RTA it makes up for as a RDA. The flavor this thing produces is so thick and heavy it's almost like drinking the juice. It's been a month for impressing atomizers for me with this and the billows I just got, and now I wonder how I'm going to explain it to my ever so lonely growing other atomizers why they have been shelved for so long.

Hmms I have never had my mosfet's get extremely hot when using. I use almost the exact same setup, but I use a 1/2 watt resistor instead of a 1/4. Was it an instant hot on the mosfet, like as soon as you pushed the button it got hot right away? Did it fire well? Light up the coils? Last 3034 mosfet build. Little bit more complex. It's series, and 26650, but basically the same set up on the mosfet. More like yours. Parallel mosfet.

In love with this setup. The Victoria Bamboo mod accompanied by the Vertex V2 in black.

aqua v2 clone on the sig 50 You take amazing photographs and have some beautiful drip tips........I am in awe A company I deal with a lot is sending me a tester of their 1:1 of the Aqua V2 for review. I can't wait to try it. Love how they have made an all in one package with it being that it can be set up as a dripper or a tank.

I do love the look of the little IPV Mini. I just picked up the "FatBaby" sub ohm addition of the Sigelei 100w latest version. FatBabyI ended up selling my IPV V3 after having it for two weeks because some of my atomizers like to leak and the juice would make it's way through the edge of the door. Plus after all this time they still have screws on the door when they should have changed to magnets after version 1. I hate having to pull out screws just to pop in a new battery. Which is a bonus on the mini with it's cap design kinda like a tube mod. Even in the box mods I make I always put magnets on the door. I want to hear all about it once you get it. I like the looks of it and like I have said before I need a new mod like I need a hole in the head... but I have this Gotta catch em all attitude lol. If I like it and reviews are good I'll probably buy one or trade for one.

Infinites version of the Orchid also raised the air holes up.

Fine! All you people with your wee lil boxes. I keep seeing post after post of these cute little i-taste and DNA's, IPV1,2,3, yadda yadda. lol Here is a real mans box mod. You have to ease into this thing slowly cause she will put you down with a quickness. Lol Nothing against any of any ones stuff. LOl I just ordered an I-stick a few days ago and have an IPV3 and a DNA 30.

Have you suffered any leakage Resnik ? I read somewhere else that they leak quite badly. Such a shame they don't post to the UK Have faith in Foclecig I'm sure she'll find them for us Nope. Have more leaks with Orchids then the billow. So far its been perfect. More then likely people with leaking issues don't have it built right. Its just about like the orchid but for me better cause of the raised air holes in the deck. I can build my coils higher off the base with out worry of juice slipping by.

Liquid candy machine of the night. This combo really packs a punch and I think out of all the RDA's I own this Vertex give the best flavor. Authentic Vertex V2 RDA and Hemlock Mod. Wot no engraving shame on u lol ;p Lol Shush. I am ordering a new tube for this one since I dropped it and scratched the powder coat. I'll be engraving the scratched one for sure. So just give it some time. It will happen.
