Following advice from forum stars I just received my Airflow v2 valve from Myepack (2 days!!) to replace the shipped base and also gone back to V1 coils rather than V2. (thanks Chykensa and aliscampbell  ) What a difference - now got a usable tank/atty. Might dip my toes into reworking these if I can find my glasses. Again thanks for everyone help and advice. |

Morning all
Following my leaking Protank woes - one of the thread members suggested I replace the base with an airflow control valve - does any one have an old one that they could recycle so that I can see if this deals with the problem before I chuck the whole shebang in the bin!!

As suggested I will look into an airflow base for this - I guess these are readily available from most suppliers. I have noticed that when I remove the kanger coil from the Protank base there is a lot of juice all around the threads. Nautilus behaving itself at the moment so can spend some time working on / swearing at the Kanger.

Thanks Tom Did that once and base came off leaving coil screwed in. Absolute bugger to get out with juice slippy fingers - tried sharp nosed pliers and destroyed the coil  |

will try everything you recommend. Juice was pooling in collar under the drip tip so ended up sucking neat juice at my wattages. Have put Nautilus on and ramped down to 5.5w and not too bad now but not a lot of flavour. However not getting told off by Mrs for using all her kitchen towel up and daughter saying the kitchen stinks of 'that stuff'!
Hoping London lads and lassies can teach me how to use a tank at next meeting.

Back again with problems - probably me being a newbie tw*t. Playing around with my nice shiny iStick with attached Protank 3 with the new style 1.8 bvc double coils. Spitting like the proverbial most of the day and drops on battery connection - only on 5.5 - 7.5W and have drunk at least 2ml juice today and have got into the 'pocket full of kitchen wipe' now (nod to Chykensa). The first packaged coil started showing wicks poking out of top hole and changed it to the other one. Even tried doubling up O rings to see it that would help. Really trying not to over-tighten but no better, just more tissues. Last time I had these problems was with a mussy and my newborn child - didn't know what I was doing there either  . Any help appreciated, PayPal nearly bankrupt and getting through juice worse than a Bentley. Maybe someone at London/SE vapers meeting could give me counselling! (actually Nautilus mini only slightly better. Thanks again folks Mark |

Have to say my Protank3 looks great on the istick as does the Nautilus mini - seem to get a better vape on the mini though.
