Hey guys, I know some of you are curious to what i'm up to.. whether I've blown my fingers off or creating a bomb. I'm proud to say I've received all my equips and the plumeveil rda for about a week now. Here are some pictures of the build I did. Twisted 24g running 0.24ohms which is about 17.5amps? I also bought a legit VTC4 from vapeclub and they run just fine. First Impressions: Holy mother of THROAT HIT. Damn, these suckers know how to hit me like a train. Full flavour on and enormous vapour production. I must say, this has got to be the most mind blowing thing I've ever experienced. I just ordered a Hobo V2.1 and a casing so this will be my daily set up for now. Lastly, I'd like to thank you all for this wonderful journey about RDAs, batteries, coils and so on. I'm very grateful for all of your replies and wishes. Vape on!

Thanks!! finally found somone that has personal experience on this atty! I've read about the airflow on this atty is really flexible and can be adjusted to suit different needs. Do you close of the top airflow holes and leave the ones on the deck wide open for flavour? I personally would also prefer great tasting vape. I'm aiming for higher ohm builds to avoid the battery danger. seems like this is the best advise because your single coil build would be most likely what i'll be running my atty at. Many thanks! For a single coil build I close off the lower side and top air flow and just use the main slots mid way up the tank The extra two airflow options really come into their own at low sub ohm builds that fill the chamber with vapour very quickly. Then the air will cyclone within the chamber and produce the clouds that the chasers require It's a very versatile attie with regards to airflow, you can pretty much adjust to infinity. The best way really to experience this attie is to experiment and find what works best for you. Start with a a sensible build and then play with the airflow vs power and see what you prefer. No matter what anyone says you will NOT resist the urge to try a .2ohm dual coil build with all the air hole options wide open to try the clouds- just please make sure your battery can take it and that you check and double check the coils are sound before you do. For now, one thing at the time. I'm excited for this... seriously am. I'll be building coil with someone watching over though. Safety still comes first. I'll see how to single coil turns up. In fact, if I run into problems I'll look for you guys. check the coils are sound, you mean by building the suitable resistance and making sure the coil glowing 'inside out' if that makes any sense? or am I suppose to be hearing things? haha

For the plume veil I use .3 kanthal. 8 wraps around a 2mm former gives me 1.4-1.5ohms I build the coil horizontally and I bring it right up to about 1.5mm from the air hole and directly in front of it, I prefer a single coil in this attie. When i build an attie I build it for flavour over vapour, clouds don't interest me at all. For dual coils I build the same horizontal coils but I do 2 x 10 wraps around a 3mm former and I set the coils closer to the center post and they come in at .8-.9 ohms. Dual coils like this only really come alive at about 18w and upwards. Far too intense a vape for my pallet though. Make sure whatever battery you use is up to high amp draws if you're going for very low sub ohming, for example - a .2ohm build with a fresh battery putting out 4.2v will also be pushing out 21amps. Only high end high drain batteries can handle a constant discharge at that kind of power. for builds like this you need to make sure that the battery can handle a good 5 amps above what you require it to provide to ensure safety and not over working the battery. I don't want to sound condescending but please do your research before you jump in mate and think safety above all else Thanks!! finally found somone that has personal experience on this atty! A. 3 kanthal would be a 28g, correct me if im wrong, so if I were to use 24g the build will come out lower ohms right. I will be needing more wraps then possibly 10 or more around a 2mm. I'll stick to (about 7wraps around a 2.4mm bit) I will be aiming for above 0.5 to avoid any possible risks. maybe I should have got a 26 or 28g. Many thanks!

But what you seemed to be asking is for a quick route to high watts and clouds. There is no quick route. You have to find your own way gradually. We're all about safety here and can offer advice as you build your way to your target. As said before. You have to crawl before you can walk, before you can run. You only joined this forum a short while ago (how I missed that I don't know) and seem to be jumping in at the deep end. By the by, I get masses of cloud and flavour from a dual coiled fogger running just 15watts (1.04ohms). It's surprising how far you can get just by increasing the VG in your juice. It ain't just about buying kit and building low, it's a learning curve. About that 'crawl before you walk' yes I get that. I mean I seriously do, no hard feelings if I sounded like a jerk. And about being new in this forum yes, I am and that's why I'm asking stuff.. im defintely not jumping the gun. to be honest I haven't even got the atty. Calm down, nobody is hurting anyone.. I mean being new is all about learning, i'm pretty sure I would be asking people on reddit if it wasn't for this thread. I know the learning curve is vital for safety reasons. many thanks for the concern and advise!

If some of you are still confused.. I specifically said. what is the most 'RECOMMENDED' build.. not the 'Best-out-of-this-world' coil or set up.. A little misunderstanding. I got most of the answers I wanted like micro-coils. check.. 0.3 above to avoid battery risk... check.. single coil wraps... check.. I'm thankful for all these replies. Once again, great comments.

vincy2699 To be fair you have been given, and continue to be, a lot of good advice. Your original post came across as "Hi I just bought a new Ferrari, I have never driven before but should I use nitrous or aircraft fuel to go really fast." The reason you were asked about your experience was not to check out your street cred as vapour but to understand what your knowledge level is so answers can be appropriate. If I come on here asking about a build one of the folks here is going to explain to me in simple language about twists/half twists, gauges etc etc. If someone with more experience comes on the answers are going to be presented differently. Secondly there is a genuine concern with vapours around safety particularly with sub-ohming that pushes batteries to the absolute limits. Quad builds will be very very low. They will will put HUGE pressure on batteries. Their questions come from a genuine concern for your safety - not to check if you are cool enough. Thirdly you ask about the best build. There is no best build. There is a build that will suit you, particularly as you go beyond a basic set up. The strong recommendation in this thread (as I see it) is start to learn to build a coil. A single coil. Then enjoy the fruits of your labour. It is incredibly satisfying to do that. Once you have mastered that build a dual coil and slowly go into sub-ohming - if you decide that is what you want to do. That is the advice given, if you don't like it fair enough. but don't tell people they are not helping. The build advice is a micro-coil. There are some really fancy builds out there. This guy does some weird and wonderful stuff. www.youtube.com/channel/UCoczvPNDGbc8OosM-PbUl-A . Including one that will apparently will make you "jizz in your pants when trying out this badboy" BTW it is not just us look at his thread www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coil-builds/640047-new-rda-first-coil-build-advice.html. Recognise this: "Learn about how this stuff works before jumping into wrapping your own coils and such. Always check your builds with a multimeter or ohm reader. When going to drippers, you want to cut your nic down by a level at least. Know what you are doing before you do it. Build safely. Crawl before you walk, walk before you run..." You have got a great RDA and mech there. You now have to learn how to enjoy it. I get the part in not rushing things..and to clearify by 'best build' I meant the best so far YOU have tried. it's not what i'd defintely do to be 'cool'. If I were to ask about a dual or quad doesn't necessarily mean I would do it. I was asking if it would affect batteries or maybe slight performance.. nothing about ' street cred or looking cool' im not sure how you get that from my first post. I mean if someone had the money to buy a ferrari, He wants to know how fast and how it handles on different speeds am I right? im not trying to be a big jerk and tell everyonr how I'm getting dizz clouds yo.. That's just not the case, in fact all I wanted to know is how it would affect flavour or maybe vape quality. that being said, you might like a dual but I may not.. so it's all subjective. Otherwise, great advice.

vincy2699 - my post was certainly not along the lines of "do you have enough vaping street cred to build quad coils". It was, as stated perhaps obtusely, more concerned with your future well-being. The reason that everyone seems to be saying the same thing is, well, because we're all saying the same thing. Start simple, perfect that (which won't happen overnight, but won't take too long), and then gradually open up to dual-coils etc. As lairey says, the difference between the PV with a single microcoil and an PT and Evod combo will be quite enough to keep you on Cloud 9 for a few weeks while you try out all your juices with the new improved vapour and flavour that you'll get. Plus of course you'll be replacing the coil every time because you can My personal favourite vape is with a 1.1ohm coil in a Kayfun/Russian, or dual coil in a PV or Magma coming in at around .9ohm. That works for me, most of the time with a 30A CD Samsung battery in a Caravela clone. Hits the spot nicely, and I can recoil in a couple of minutes. Sure I have an Orchid, and like you am at the start of a learning curve, but I know enough not to try it out at .2ohms because a)it's downright dangerous, and b) I would cough my guts up, which rather takes away the pleasure in my book. As a stopgap while you wait for the RDA to arrive, try building a microcoil for your Protank heads - it's the same principle that you will need in the PV, and once again you need to experiment with cotton wool, CW pads, and rayon; this will give you a fortnight of interesting comparisons and lots of practice rewicking first. When that setup is working sweetly, you will have a tremendously better vape than putting in a stock head. Keep us posted, but please don't accuse us of being elitist; we are more than happy to help, and send us pictures and updates on your progress so that we can further help my previous posts wasn't refering to your last advice, no hard feelings..I understand you are more concern for my safety and that is much appreciated. I was trying to find 'better" advise than googling builds or ' if I should slow down and learn to crawl before running' wasn't going to help me much..but I seriously do get your point about safety reasons. On the other hand, i'll keep this thread updated once the pictures are taken

Chill pill, we are all born knowing nothing. I build for 12 watts as that's what I vape at, choose a coil arrangement and target (watts) and start from there, I can't tell you want you vape at? You have had some good advice which member have spent time typing and replying to and more will come if you so choose to listen. I'm of out, (maybe best!) im sure others will advise. A nice warm vape would be best on a single? Hoping not to miss out on the flavours. I'm still waiting on the rda to arrive soon. I've used my buddy's tugboat v2 and it was a super vape running a single parallel build. Best to keep it below 20A at the moment until find a good batt.. I'm not so keen on regulated, I think it's because of box mods. I'm still liking the clean look of a mech. After I saw a tugboat on top of a nemesis, couldn't resist! added: I apologize if I sounded rude, wasn't intended .. just hoping to get better replies instead of everyone repeating the same thing. Stay safe everyone let's get back to topic.

The impression that I got was " Hey, What's your previous set up bro? if you never used an RDA.. just go with something easy so your battery doesn't blow up. " I mean, comon. It'd do me a lot more help by telling me which build at what ohms you would recommend is a sweet spot or at least give some real advice. If im missing a vital equipment, I get it. I hope this isn't one of those, 'you're not good enough at something. please stop' I understand there are a lot of people that blow up their mods. But not everyone's brain is buried up their a**ses. I just want to know what are the common RDA builds you guys are on and how'd you manage it.. share the knowledge.

I did lots of research on building coils and I understand the importance of not going over the rated ampheres of the battery. I know there are risks of batteries exploding, and I did purchase a reliable ohm meter and voltmeter. I've got a friend who's guiding me into coils, the only thing I want to know is, what would be a good build? if a single coil build is good and works great for flavour and clouds... than I'll stick with one coil. I'm no expert and my previous device is just a noob protank and ego. I'm well aware of the dangers and of course I have someone to guide me besides doing research on forums. Does it really matter what set ups I have used in the past? I mean if that's the case, I would have purchased an atlantis if i were going into sub ohms. I don't mean to jump the gun or anything, but if I were to purchase an upgrade.. I am willing to learn. If the sub ohms and mechs are an official cult gang that are restricted to 'pros only' I wouldnt be creating this thread anyway

The problem is Sony has stop selling the VTC4 and VTC5. Its impossible to find a legit one without it being fake or china made today. If it's genuine then its probably expensive as hell and sold separately, not in pairs. Of course, before buying the Efest 2100 30A.. I did some research of my own and found these. Note the close up of the battery, it says pulse rate of 60A and the graph seems to indicate it is in fact a re wrapped battery.

I just pulled the trigger on a new ss plume veil 1.5 by tobeco and smpl clone. Also bought the efest imr 30A flat top battery, charger, ohm meter, volt meter, cotton wicks, and kanthal A1 24g. It's my first rda purchase and I am gonna try building coils on this set up.. did i do good on my first purchase? would you guys prefer a dual coil or quad on rdas? is it really necessary to purchase some pliers and clippers?

Hi guys, How does mixing your own compare with somewhere like LiQuid's £1 for 10ml? Do you find it generally cheaper or more expensive (and by how much)? I haven't got round to mixing my own yet as I still haven't discovered a really good juice that I really like. I'll have a go when I've found a couple that suit me. It doesn't work out a great deal cheaper mikemichelle unless you buy in bulk. But the juices you make will be much much nicer, IMHO and you can tailor them to suit your own tastes. It is cheaper generally if you can buy then of a local vape shop at a great deal in bulk.. I really still cant find 'quality' nicotine and flavouring. US grade vg and pg are very rare. I don't see myself vaping china made vg anytime soon...the quality control in asian countries are pretty bad. stay away from non regulated chinese made flavourings. On the other hand, overseas shipping totally kills the idea of 'cheap' DIY juice. From where I live, shipping is on average £6.. but I just purchase 3 bottles of juice from vapeclub. uk, so I got that going for me at the moment
