Why did you start vaping? How long have you been a vaper? Are you a smoker, an ex-smoker or a non smoker? How has vaping effected you? Tell your story!Add it to the thread and it will be added to a growing body of stories from across the world in many languages and from every continent. Plans are afoot to create a database where every story can be found. Your story will be included in this database. Our vaping stories are some of the most powerful weapons we have when it comes to convincing politicians, medical professionals and the general public about how effective vaping can be. If you are happy to leave your real name and which town you live in that would be fantastic. It would help make sure these stories cannot be ignored by the sceptics, but the important thing is your story, so if you aren’t able to leave your name, PLEASE still leave your story.

HUmm your title welsh bastards, really! only some of us are bastards. I was quite specifically referring to the Welsh Labour AM's who are behind the Vaping Ban, but I am getting some negative feed back on it so I will see if I can change it. It was a bit of an experiment with shock value, I just get so fed up with the way people are apparently fascinated with 'hand checks' but don't seem interested in taking any action that can preserve the future of vaping.

We are trying to put together a package on the various consultations for next week. We felt it was important not to include them in the CTA until we had some supporting material to help those that are less accustomed to filling them out. The idea of the VIP CTA is to make it easy for people to participate, and the consultations can be a bit bewildering for first timers. If you want to help you are more than welcome

I have to say diche the title of your thread is outside my comfort zone. It is decidedly risqué, but it did get you to read the thread which was it's intended purpose. A lot of the advocacy stuff gets decidedly boring and people just scroll past, so I decided to have a bit of fun this week.

I didn't like the email from Lib Dems asking me for £20 either Perpetua , put me right off I was a bit put off by it too, but in the end I decided that it was a good cause and bunged in a tenner. I think they pitched the amount wrong, if they had asked for a fiver it wouldn't have got my back up as much, but £20 is well outside my comfort zone

I have signed it, but I must say I object to being asked my phone number. I get slammed with so many cold calls I feel uncomfortable and maybe many other people do also? I must admit I am not a big fan of giving out my phone number, but if the Lib Dems can't manage to follow the data protection act, we really are in trouble.

Vapers In Power Call Action 3rd July 2015 Three actions you can take this week to help keep vaping free. 1. It has been revealed that Welsh Labour are plotting to extend their proposed ban on vaping in enclosed public places to outside play areas - and even hospital grounds! There are an estimated 100,000 vapers in Wales - yet this petition only has 2,300 signatures. You don’t need to live in Wales to sign - Sign it (if you haven’t already) and spread it as far and wide as you can, ask your local vape shop to start collecting signatures. All it takes is a laptop or tablet and the link: www.welshlibdems.wales/ecigs 2. The Article 20 Legal Challenge is still woefully short of signatures too – especially from countries outside the UK. This could bring down the TPD – why oh why have so few people signed it? Help to turn this round. Pass this sign up page onto as many people as possible – vaping is a worldwide phenomenon and vapers are a worldwide community. Let's get everyone in on this action. article20legalchallenge.com/ 3. Visit Rome on 7th July (this Tuesday) to protest against the Italian government’s outrageously high tax on ecigs and the pernicious influence of Philip Morris International. agivapenews.com/2015/06/30/vaping-wwars-italy-ecig-pmi-lobby-protest/If you can't get to Rome then tweet to support the action– use #nonsiamofumo #WeAreNotSmoke vapersinpower.co.uk/call-to-action

I think everyone will be aware of what has been going on in Wales this week, and it seemed appropriate that the Vapers in Power - Call to Action focused on just this one thing, so here are..... Two ways you can help vaping this week. 1. Sign the Liberal Democrats' petition against the Welsh ban on vaping in enclosed public spaces www.welshlibdems.wales/ecigs2. The Welsh Vaping Ban is not a done deal - there are still several hurdles for it to cross before it becomes law - details of which can be seen in this briefing by the NNA: nnalliance.org/about-us/news/380-the-welsh-government-public-health-white-paper-the-next-stepsUse these handy documents to send the message to the Assembly Members of Wales that this bill has no basis in science and would be detrimental to public health. Details of their snail mail, email, Facebook and Twitter addresses are included. No one has sent us an email yet saying how vaping advocacy in the UK could be more effective (number 3 in the CTA above) We really do want to hear what you think - please post here instead if that's easier They have now

Time to get this weekends little jobs out of the way and for a start here are....... Three things you can do to help vaping this week: 1. Sign this petition to disband the MHRA, a body that actively assists the pharmaceutical industry in putting profits before health. goo.gl/owkEOA2. Consider donating to the fund to incorporate #NOTBlowingSmoke as a non-profit company, allowing them to expand and legitimise their actions in vaping advocacy. If you can’t donate then please share it as far and wide as possible goo.gl/2hVFL53. How do you think vaping advocacy in the UK should be proceeding? Have you got any thoughts on how to reach the parts that are currently not being reached? It doesn't matter how big or small, pop your ideas in an email and send them to info@vapersinpower.co.uk This weeks Call to Action from vapersinpower.co.uk/call-to-action

Election SpecialVapers In Power Call to Action 1st May 2015 3 things you can do to help vaping this week: 1. Vote in the General Election on May 7th. (If you are lucky enough to live in the Kingswood or Barnsley East constituencies you can vote for Vapers In Power candidates Liam Bryan or Billy Marsden) 2. Print off this Totally Wicked "manifesto" www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/news/2015/april/totally-wickeds-vaping-manifesto.html and stick it in the front window for the benefit of canvassers (and passers by). Use it to ask the people who want your vote where their candidate stands on the issue of jobs, the economy, SME’s and, above all, 100,000 preventable deaths per annum. Better yet - hand them a copy. 3. Email or write a letter to your local newspaper to highlight the benefits of vaping for the economy. All the #GE2015 candidates will be scrutinising the local newspapers this week – it’s a very good time to get a pro vaping letter published and the economy is a hot topic. This Vaping and the UK Economy document goo.gl/FnPORV has some good ideas and stats to include. vapersinpower.co.uk/call-to-action
