True 5v ecigs generally use two batteries but you can get passthroughs you can plug into the wall for a stronger power source. I'm going to wait up until I get these dcc's and see how they are compared to the ones I have now. I really don't get the hype with them at all. They look like boges inside which I think might be the main problem for me. I hate boge cartomisers! The wadding is so tightly wound in there it underwicks, especially if you use vg. It's difficult even filling boge cartomisers for me. I tend to use 808 horizontal coil cartos if I use cartos at all. Tough break winning a dcc tank when I hate dccs but if I get it and it sucks I'll need to thin some juice and invest in a nice new 5v device so thanks for the awesome selection, likely come in handy CE2 tank trade anyone?

I'm sure as anything I've seen something extremely similar to that in the betterware catalogue in December. I think they had them with no nicotine as well.
Tesco have their 10 motive disposables out with their cigarettes as well.
It's slightly annoying that "good" ecigs aren't making it out to the highstreet but at the same time I'm really glad they're getting awareness out there in any form.

I have a set of dcc's and nothing I currently own seems to have nearly the same oompfh as a CE2 does. A flat 3.7v just doesn't seem to be enough for me for dcc's The lavatube cuts it off at 3.7v and the egos just don't have the power for it either. More powar! lol

A winner is me! I won the dcc tank from the ry4 radio quiz last night (woo! ) but I don't actually have anything with the power to run DCCs properly, so what do you guys think would be a decent fit? I'm on a moderate budget, so price is a factor. Looks... not so much An excuse to buy a new mod is always cool

I can't see what pg/vg they use. I can't handle much more than 10% pg or it's bad times. I'd give them a shot if they had a vg option

I thought lavatubes were meant to come with a year's warranty.
You're not the first I've seen to have had a wonky 510 connection. I would have sent it back straight away if I noticed the connection was squint for a replacement.
Yours is the first case I've seen that it actually broke off though.
On the plus side for me, mine is straight and I've dropped my lavatube at least 100 times by now (no really, at least 100 times) and it's working just as well as when I got it a month ago so I haven't noticed bad build quality personally.

Well, it's down to personal preference. I would prefer the ego because it's a flat voltage so I know it will always perform the same, but others prefer the riva because it's an entire 1volt higher than the ego to start with so it will be higher in power straight away. The riva will dip in voltage as you use its charge so if you like higher voltages you'll need to keep charging it sooner than you would than with the ego.
Really though, they're about the same, so similar that the riva is a clone of the ego, it's just an unregulated battery.
You wouldn't go wrong with either. Low resistance cartomisers in either will be a strong performing ecig. The difference between them is fairly negligible.
I would go for the freedomvape ego/riva deal, I've not seen anything this good for that price in a fair while. The ego and riva are the most recommended ecigs to start out with and for quite a few, that's all they'll ever need.
For the price it's a really, really good introduction to longer lasting ecigs.

The ego is regulated to 3.2volts but the riva is unregulated and will come off the charger at 4.2volts and will decrease to 3.3volts before it cuts off. Newer ego models can be turned off by clicking the button 5 times whereas the riva will only take 3 clicks to turn it off. You shouldn't use anything lower than 2.0ohms on the riva as lower could damage the switch in the battery.
Other than that, there's not much difference at all. If you get the ego you could use 2.0ohm cartomisers and it would produce the same heat and vapour until it runs low on charge and cuts off as it's always the same voltage. If you use the riva with 2.0ohms it will be hotter than the ego so you might want to use 2.5ohms or 2.2ohms or similar but it will gradually decrease in performance as you use it.
I'm farily certain the ego/riva on freedomvape is an ego as the last guy who got one found it had a 5 click turn off feature.

Sorry to contradict but the M40X adapter is NOT the one to use if the VIPs are 4081s. Far as I can recollect the 4081 used to be known as RN4081? The M401, 402 etc are the Intellicig type batteries so it wouldn't be any use at all. That's quite alright, I really wasn't 100% on that. Makes sense now I think about it, M40x is for M401 - 3 so why would it fit RN4081. I'm not sure if an adapter exists, might do. Thanks for the info, I'm still learning as I go for the super minis, so it was good to look into this. As long as someone knows what they're talking about it it's all good

I do the same with my clearomisers. If I'm too lazy to clean them out before I refill with something new it can taste a bit strange. On the plus side I found out my nice biscuit coffee and dekang ry4 is my new all day vape As long as that chocolate banana stays out of there I'll be a happy guy

I got the 3000mah battery and it didn't work with my lavatube they're low drain which might be why or I could be one of the unlucky ones that got a bad one :-[ I've searched for a while but I couldn't find anything about 17670 batteries in the lavatube so you might be the first to try it out

Sure thing I'm having too hard a time finding anyone who sells those cartomisers anymore so it's probably a good idea to invest in a better ecig. I'm sure Chrissie could tell me where to get rn4081 gear, they know where to get everything

I had a really hard time finding the answer to this one (I'd never heard of VIP before now) but I can hopefully confirm that your batteries and cartomisers are RN4081 (also fits DSE103 as well I think) as per this thread: ukvapers.com/topic/1089-can-anyone-help/So you would need to look for RN4081 cartomisers (I'm honestly not sure who if anyone still sells these) or get a RN4081 connection converter which you can get here: www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=35It's the M40x one you want I think, for 4081. It's been so long since I've seen an RN4081 I've forgotten what they are. I think it's 510 threading but the polarity is reversed making them a really rare battery type to get anything for which is why the overpriced vendors use them so you're stuck with their cartomisers. The normal 510 cartomisers you linked to wont work with it as the + and - is back to front on the battery compared to the cartomiser I'm afraid. I have absolutely no idea if your cartomisers are refillable with liquid or not, so I can't help you there I'm afraid. It is possible with most cartomisers to fill them by taking the top off so you can fill them with liquid (aka eliquid) bought from a vaping vendor but cartomisers have a life expectancy of around 4 days to a week so you would have to buy more eventually. It is much, much cheaper to fill your own cartomisers. 4081 adapters do exist so you could play around with cartomisers that way but I would strongly recommend you buy a different ecig. If form is a factor then you should check out: - www.jacvapour.com/- www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/creator-1.html?cat=121- www.safercigs.co.uk/Intro_Vapour_PRO/p705283_4307948.aspx (use "allabout" for 10% off) Those Kr808d-1's have more compatable options, should give you a little more time between charges and are a great starting ecig but since you've already started I'd softly advise you upgrade to the ego! There's a hot deal on right now for an ego here: freedomvape.co.uk/shop/category_2/Electronic-Cigarettes.html?sessid=GcWXnVXqJNSODuNS2VbayFzPNxnq4SEhC8j3I5yIF9o4zDSZTVfulWI209vd7UkW&shop_param=cid%3D%26 use "JAN15" for 15% off. They are bigger but not by much... That is the ego next to the Kr808d-1 models I linked before it. As you can see it's not much bigger than a superking. More the size of a real cigar. Though, that is 650mah size and the one on sale is 1100mah which will be bigger compared to that again in height, not by width. The ego has to be the single most recommended mid range ecig out there right now as it's a solid performer that's seen a lot of vapers happy and has done for a good year now. If you get the ego on freedomvape I highly recommend you try out some low resistance cartomisers with them: www.vapeescape.co.uk/kanger-510-lr-cartomisers-horizontal-coil-%285%29~225 (use "allabout" for 10% off). They will produce a much better heat and vapour compared to what you're using now and should last just about an entire day on just one battery (and you get two of them!). I really hope that's not total information overload. If you have any more questions anyone would be glad to help you on your way I'm going to have a look and see if I can't find anyone who actually sells the cartomisers for these.

Do they fit in the lavatube? Some of the slightly bigger 18650's don't really fit in the lavatube
