Thanks to piratesvape for great delivery/packaging, and to Pixie for making these! New to vaping, so have just done first pixiemix [mint choc chip ice cream, banana & custard, hot buns] ... even the parcel smelt divine, so, after some steeping, I can't wait to try these. I like the mint choc freshly mixed give it a good shake and it's good to go for me anyway yes, lovely tangy strong flavour from the get go; really nice.

Thanks lairey Very glad you mentioned salt and vinegar crisps! plus love sniffing coffee. Hope Liberte lemon greek yoghurt counts, as can eat my own bodyweight in that, lol. Was thinking more along the lines of fresh lemons and pulling that wincey puckered face when you suck on them! lol and eek!

Ethyl maltol 10% + pg/vg to 15mg = a pretty nice Vape I have a decent stash mixed and ready to go and it needs no steeping! Sounds good, blakey! Thanks

Less is more, as lairey mentioned above. kittyvape, I would advise mixing some of your usual recipes at 15% and see if there is really any negligible difference in the essential flavour strength; you may discover that the flavour is still there but without the bitter aftertaste. I was once of the opinion that more concentrate is more flavour, but soon discovered when I mixed a custard at 30% that I was wrong - I now mix custard at about 22% tops, and most of my other recipes come out at around 20% maximum. EM can help, but beware phtumshk's comment about them all ending up with candyfloss taste - it can be a bit overpowering. i% is Custard mixes is ample I find. Thank you very much chykensa I'll do that now; some chocolate raspberry needs mixing. Will note 20-22% down. EM's arrived, and, lol, I thought it was going to be liquid. So far am reading to mix 1 gram (0.20 teaspoons) to 17ml of PG (or a quarter teaspoon into 21.25ml of PG), then treat as a 100% flavouring.

Anything with a strong and acidic flavour will help with vapers tongue kittyvape... salt & vinegar crisps, lemon juice, etc... Also, smelling fresh ground coffee is supposed to help Thanks lairey Very glad you mentioned salt and vinegar crisps! plus love sniffing coffee. Hope Liberte lemon greek yoghurt counts, as can eat my own bodyweight in that, lol.

Thing i have found is you can't really assume the mixing ratio will be the same even within the same brand of concentrate. I mixed up some Capella Juicy Peach the other week to try and thought to myself well i've used other fruit concentrates from Capella i'll just mix the peach at the same ratio, tried it after a week and it was strong as hell. I had to knock it down with 2 thirds of unflavoured juice to 1 third of the peach mix in the end to get the flavour right. Same brand(Capella), same flavour group(fruit) yet huge difference in the amount needed. Thanks Get Off My Cloud Glad you said that, as I was settling into a standard way of mixing, treating all Capella's the same, eek. Will definitely keep an eye on that.

Pickled onions/gurkins (or a good swig of the pickled onion vinegar lol) will refresh yo taste buds. I personally find that some PG/VG will leave a 'bitter' after taste and no matter how much flavour or sweetener you throw at it it will always have a bitter after taste. I only mention this as some folks may or may not have a similar taste sensation and that is my own assessment of various PG/VG bases . You need to be careful with the EM, to much and all your mixes will taste like candy floss. Sucralose is just sweet with no other tastes involved. Thanks phtumshk Eek, wish I could eat gurkin/onion stuff. Get barfy with them, but am blasting extra strong menthol through, lol. I was wondering if it was something to do with PG/VG. Mine's from Vampire Vape. Hope the EM does make some difference, and thanks for warning me about not overusing it. Will get some sucralose too.

It could be that mixing at 30% is what's giving you the weird after taste kittyvape ? I keep reading over and over again that less can be more when it comes to mixing - i.e. there is a point when adding to high % of a concentrate doesn't actually further increase the flavour - it can have the opposite affect. Re Ethyl Maltol - I use it in some mixes at a small amount (like 1%). I don't really use any other sweetner, I tend to try and add in other concentrates that are already sweet and compliment the main flavour Thanks spacey Might be best to go back to 25% I think then. What with dealing with vaper's tongue a lot as well, it's hard to tell, but I certainly liked my 25% a lot. Once the ethyl maltol arrives, will add to 1%. At the moment, I'm not doing anything but one flavour, and they tend to be rich dessert flavours. Have a tank with just menthol, so that's been helping to refresh, but even that today tasted yuk, lol. Maybe I briefly should go back to a fruit, plus some strong menthol, as haven't vaped fruit for ages.

I really wouldn't be mixing @30% kittyvape. I mix with no added PG at all and I love strong flavours but rarely do I mix above 20-25%. I know the guy in the shop said to up the flavour, but in my experience (been mixing for over 18 months now) the higher VG makes a negligible difference Thanks lairey Good to hear your experienced advice. Takes a while to settle to the right mixes doesn't it, lol. When I tried the 30/70, tbh I couldn't see that the liquid was particularly thicker/less likely to leak. Nice when people give advice to help; appreciate that, and great to try things out and see what happens!

As far as I'm concerned, "vapers tongue" is a myth. Boredom maybe. But yes, sweetener will smooth out a flavour and helps many mixes. I use sucralose kittyvape. Not sure, buggritt. Glad the sweetener is a good idea. Will check out sucralose too. Thanks!
