OK first well done on starting vapeing and ditching the stinkies OK what kit are you useing hun? If you were on old holbourn 20-25 a day I'd suggest 18mg minimum. Also your body will be going through a lot of changes over the next few months. It might be worth getting a few diff 18 mg liquids and also a bottle of 24 mg for when the cravings catch you. Check out joose juice or health e vape, onepoundeliquid No point buying massive bottles of 1 flavour atmo as your tastes will change as your taste buds start to recover over the next month or 2. Having a strong mint or citrus in is always good for vapers tongue and refreshing the pallet. Thanks igual Am using iStick 50w and eShisha Stellar Apollo. Thanks for advice; luckily had an 18mg mint in the box, and it really is nice ... first time have vaped it. Will stick with that for today. Looking forward to body detoxing, for sure! Definitely seems a good idea to have various strengths, to cover any fluctuations. Thanks for site recommendations too; will check them out. At the start I'd ordered some 18mg's and 24mg's, then thought I'd ordered juices too strong ... now they'll come in handy, lol.

Hiya Stopped the stinkies 2 days ago, after first starting to vape about 2 weeks ago. I'd just settled on enjoying caramel/vanilla, diluting down to about 6mg I think, after having smoked 20-25 Old Holborn previously. Suddenly, that flavour makes me feel a bit sickly (not nic od) and I've shot up to undiluted 18mg blueberry. Even that has no kick/cough/anything at all, wondering about going up to 24mg. Is this vaper's tongue, or just my body deciding what nic levels it really needs? Switching between 12mg coffee to 18mg blueberry, to try to reset palette, but nothing. Thanks, Cat

kittyvape Just a heads up, vapers (and forum) tend to say 'B&M' meaning 'bricks and mortar' shop, as it a high street vaping shop rather than the B&M store that sells anything and everything (but alas, no vape gear) lol, there I go again. Thanks Pepperty. Good to learn.

I like your thinking kittyvape... When you are debt free you can lash out for something more 'posh' but for now you've done very well . Good trip to Boyes I'd say (we don't have a boyes here . We only just got a B&M store ) Jane Thanks, Jane . Yes, simple pleasures at the moment ... having settled on some fave flavours/mixes, it's nice to save a bit (lol) . The Boyes here in Middlesbrough is opposite B & M. I should have popped into B & M, but it had taken me about 3 olympic laps to find the vape place, lol, and I'd reached my racing peak ... Boyes just happened to be next door. Hope you get a Boyes soon! If you want any of the stuff in the photo, I can get it for you.

This might seem a bit simplistic, lol, but it's cheap ... mooched around Boyes yesterday, and the clear plastic box was £2.49, big compost tin (which struck me as perfect for steeping) was £7.99 (others were labelled £9.99), and the big pack of coloured 'mixing cups' = 40 for £1.49 ... thanks @johanino for drawing my attention to these. The baskets (£1.65 for 2) were just cute anyway, but handy as very temporary 'gear holder', as long as don't weight everything to one side.

Thanks djs [not sure I'm tagging here, lol, but am trying to not quote too often] ... with properly vaping now, I can't imagine going back to the little e-cigs. You're right, as I definitely couldn't afford to keep making lots of cartridge purchases; that was worrying me. The only thing I'd really miss is buying my fave blueberry and bubblegum, at 18mg, and watering down with VG ... this means they'll last, plus earn points/£'s rapidly, so that should see me over those orders. Nice you're helping that lady, too. I'd not call it overpushy; nice that you're concerned and advise. She's going to love the eGo! eShisha are definitely a more expensive route, I agree. I really appreciate the Apollo, so will do that review, plus the couple of free flavours they've sent, but from now on it'll be just the juices. I've just realised; they'd said they'd include 2 more Hypernova batteries plus mixing thingie, and those things weren't there. I think they must have realised, from me ordering my fave flavoured juices, that I wasn't focussing as much on the Hypernova. Doing well with the iStick; realising when am topped up enough, getting more used to it ... it's great!

You know what kittyvape - I'm just so glad I'm still on MSE and have the e-cig thread subscribed and I happen to be counter upper on the Payment a Day thread this month so I check MSE every morning..... Being able to get you properly started on your vaping journey with all these fabbo peeps on here has really cheered me up! Just stay away from free trials (they are not truly free) and paying too much for your vaping gear awww, that's lovely! Thank you so much again for encouraging me. Great to start my journey in such good company. And definitely good advice; I can't keep away from my fave two juices (earn points/pounds quickly, so I can use free £'s to keep supplied), but I'm definitely going to just write these reviews and make sure I don't overspend.

Lol, you'd have laughed earlier ... I'm definitely covering all the 'newbie incident' possibilities quickly, including nicotine od ... I was reading bits and pieces, and there was advice about blow through the clearomiser. I did it the wrong way and got my eyes sprayed with juice. Immediate rinse, and can still see, so all's well. The whackable solution sounds a great idea. Lol, yes, baby wipes. What with leaking VG everywhere, spraying my eyes with juice, the eGo spitting at me, overfilling the eGo, etc, I've used my own bodyweight in them so far. No worries about sub-ohm; I've set it to wide open, lowest voltage, watering down 18mg with VG a lot, and am getting away with it okay. And just got the Stellar Apollo from eShisha, with my fave blueberry juice (18mg) and bubblegum (same) plus some others ... happy days! Vapes really well. Oops, only saw vid when posted reply ... thank you!

Sorry, I'll use the quick reply instead ... I was getting a bit confused myself, lol. No problem. The little Hypernova e-cig's had been driving me crazy, with having to recharge batteries every 2 hours and new cartridge every 4 hours, so I just went crazy and got the iStick 50w, mainly for battery reasons, and to invest, thinking I can tweak and learn. I've glooped some more VG in, but still TH harsh. Love the high nic, but not the TH, grrrr. Couple of 6mg juices on the way, as well as diluting these 18mg's within an inch of their life, lol. Brain hasn't clicked about voltage/wats etc at all, lol. Time for a rest, haha.

Hiya phtumshk and thanks Here's where total newb comes through, lol ... at the moment, the big main voltage on the iStick 50w is showing at 9.0w, and the small numbers are 0.6 ohm (subtank nano) and 2.3 v. I'm not sure how to alter setting to lessen the TH. Is me having the voltage lower than you've said better or worse, lol? kittyvape You should be using around 15-22 watts for that atomiser for maximum taste. If the throat hit (th) is too harsh, then maybe the nic is too high or you have PG intolerance. Thanks tim Flavour is better at 15w. Think have gone too high re nic, as TH is far too much.

Welcome aboard kittyvape. With regards to voltages your best bet is to start at the bottom and work your way up. Id go any where between 3.7 - 4.2v on a regular ego tank. and the 2200mAh and eShisha Hypernova could be cool for outdoors. eShisha have just blown me away in saying I can trial their Stellar plus sending some 0mg flavours to mix with just purchased 18mg flavours, and more batteries for the Hypernova, That sounds good. One comment I would make is to be very wary of companies offering to let you trial stuff. I don't know who e-shisha club are but if they are like most 'brand' e-cig companies, they'll be looking to find ways to tie you into their products and services. I did look yesterday at the Hypernova and my feeling is that if they give you extra batteries, take them and use them, if they work for you. Keep the company at a safe distance and beware any kind of situation where you obliged to pay them any money or give credit card details and that sort of thing. I don't think you'd want to get into using the Stellar e-cig long term. They want to sell you 89p clearomisers for £4.99 or £5.99. That's how they work. You probably know all this, but it's worth mentioning. Thanks djs. Really making me think here. They've given me 2 free Hypernova flavour packs, sending free Stellar + mixing bottle and 0mg flavours (I've needed to order 18mg juices), and are sending the extra batteries (this is useful, as you're saying, but the constant charging is dreadful, and a fuel cost surely) ... always request a review, and provide the links. Very friendly in answering questions. Buying lots of flavour cartridges for the Hypernova would be pricey, for sure. Have been keeping it in the back of my mind that I can use cheaper non-eShisha juices with the Stellar, if things were getting too expensive at any point. Do you mean that the Stellar wouldn't be able to take 510 clearomisers? Certainly don't want to be tied into anything that can't take standard clearomisers, as you're right that those clearomiser charges are too high. You're right about being realistic, and I was keeping back, watching out incase it was going to be an expensive business. Even if I can just test mixtures/strengths using it, that's something I suppose. I have to admit to loving eShisha's flavours; bit pricier for the 18mg juice, but as a treat, lol.
