See, that's what I like about this forum; loads of good sound advice when a member gets into trouble (through no fault of her own), and humour as well in your hour(s) of need kittyvape. Hope you get a favourable outcome from all of this and a reminder to us all to check our household insurances! It's humbling to know that you came here for advice when you needed it - I hope that Chrissie realises just what a fantastic creature she created all those years ago  Thank you chykensa  for kindness too. Thanks Literally got the letter about an hour ago, so my brain hadn't come out of the flatline yet, lol, to remember MSE. Welfare Rights used to be wonderful round here, but it's difficult to get an appointment now. CAB branch here not great. MSE always good. Reminds me of you posting to invite me over here; that was great!  EDIT: have started a thread on MSE, so we'll see what happens. |

Just an update, having put in a claim to the housing association. Got a very quick and blunt response, saying they responded (ended up unblocking the drain), and are not liable. The issue I have is that when I've looked online at the history of repairs here, the same issue happened, as part of months of issues re leaks, 3 years ago here (I've been here 2 years). I'm not convinced the pipes are right, as surely water flooding back into the house, twice in 3 years, seems to indicate the pipes aren't at the right angle? Plus, it doesn't seem right that a shared drain is smack in the middle of my front garden, so it could have been a problem from a different property that caused the flooding? All that seems a good solution about the carpet is to put a couple of shower mats down, as I don't feel confident that flooding wouldn't happen again. Have a thought circling about that it doesn't seem aligned with the tenancy agreement that I can't be confident about laying carpets/risk of flooding, but they're a very blunt 'we're responsible for nothing' bunch.

meh, not really keen on small mods, as if a tank leaks down it can have a short shelf life. Prefer those with the 510 not over the power button area. For newbs like moi, still learning about tanks/rebuilding/wicking, there's a risk it may not last long, lol.

The daily fail like to stir the pot about anything, just to try to work readers up, for sure. They would say the moon is made of cheese to sell a few more chip wrappers. Worse than the gutter press. At least cheap stories about celebrity underwear or crowd-funded waxing for rugby players isn't hurting anybody. (waxing doesn't hurt... does it?)  lol haha ... sure I saw an article about the moon and cheese there one day  And, yes, it hurts ...  |

lol, yes, so easy to see through the cak the media and supposed scientific bods spout. The rapid increase in the number of people who vape, and all the success stories, mean everyone knows a number of people who vape/used to smoke. Those facts are undeniable, and these bods know it. The daily fail like to stir the pot about anything, just to try to work readers up, for sure.
