Hi Guys and Girls,
I ran a successful event in Glasgow in May, called Glasgow School of Vape. Over 100 vapers turned up, and we set off the fire alarms twice, had to turn people away at the door, and I almost had a mental breakdown.
Glasgow School of Vape 2, is happening on the 30th of August from 2pm till 10pm at the Drury Bar and Kitchen in Drury Street, Glasgow ( a stones throw from Central Station). We have 6 confirmed retailers, FREE raffles throughout the day, a swap and trade section, rebuildables section with advice from vapers for vapers new and experienced. The event is totally FREE, and we want to encourage new vapers and those who want to switch to vaping, to come along and learn from retailers and individuals alike.

I hope that if this takes off I can bring this idea to other parts of the U.K. providing free events for new and experienced vapers to meet.

Welcome to the board. I love the title of the event, and a really nice twist on the old Mackintosh font. Good luck with it Thanks for that, it was almost Rab C. Vaper, before I took my sensible pills!  |

Hi there guys and girls, I am new to forums in general, so finding it a bit strange. I really joined because I am running a vape meet in Glasgow on the 3rd of May, and have posted a thread in the vape meet/ vapefest section. I am trying to create a new type of event to encourage new vapers and smokers to jump in to the vaping community and get the information that they need to stay off tobacco. I am pretty much doing this myself, so its been hard work, and I am trying to get the word out,
I will try to figure out how to create a link from here to that thread, but if that fails, it is in the Vape Meets section under the title Glasgow School of Vape.

Hey, Guys and Girls I am new to the forum, but want to let you know about a vape meet that is happening on the 3rd of May, Upstairs in The Vale, Dundas street, Glasgow, called The Glasgow School of Vape. I have been vaping for about a year and a half, and decided that I wanted to run an event that was accessible to all levels of vaper, and also invites smokers to come and see what all the fuss is about. The Glasgow School of Vape aims to bring retailers, vapers and smokers together in order to share experiences and pass on knowledge. The event will run from 2.30pm till 10pm, and will feature retailer tables from Emporium Vapour, Smokemax, Vaporized, Dr. Vapor and Blackhacks Vapegear. There will be free raffles throughout the day offering prizes for both beginners and more experienced vapers. There will also be a biggest cloud competition and a rebuildables section.
If this event is successful, we hope to get a bigger venue for our next one.

Just to clarify, I am not a retailer, and I do not run a business. I am paying for this out of my own shallow pockets, and plan to make all events free to attendees. The more successful this event is, the more likely that I can fund further events through retailer contribution.
