Good job damian I am sure this set up will keep you away from stinkies. Did you get to meet lairey ? Hi PinkyPuff I did yes, unfortunately she was serving another customer so was dealt with by one of her colleagues who knew his stuff, could have squeezed some more money out of me if he wanted to but he didn't, he listened to my requirements, made a decision on what he thought would suit me best and so far I'm very pleased. I've been in there before to pick up a bottle of juice as I had run out while I was waiting for the Mrs to finish her shopping, bit of a shame that I didn't hang around and chat to them as I probably would have made the transition to either a mod or at least a better set up than I've been struggling with for the last year. Sadly my closest vape shop doesn't really cater for established vapors (apart from supplying the juice), they seem more orientated at the newbie market with starter kits at around £30-£40. The weird thing is, I have quite a few friends who vape and are still using the starter kit batteries that I was (until today) using, I'm so going to blow them away when I next see them Anyway..... congratulations Vanilla vapes you are now officially my bricks and mortar shop of choice! As for the stinkies, I've never been tempted back to them, I remember losing my charging cable whilst on a drunken caving weekend in the Mendips and not being able to find a vape shop around the Cheddar area, instead of buying a pack of ciggies to tide me over, I (eventually) found an old computer shop that was able to provide me with one of the horrible fat usb cables, luckily I had brought a pass through pen type battery to try and reduce the wear on the threads. Shortly afterwards I always made sure I had a back up stick

Well.................. I didn't get the istick in the end, I'm an impatient bugger and knowing I was going to make the transition up to a mod I didn't want to continue puffing (or desperately sucking) on a vapestick while I waited a day or two for delivery. Thanks to advice from a forum member, I contacted lairey and visited the shop this lunchtime. What a lovely bunch they are! The sales assistant patiently took me through his recommendations, pro's and cons etc etc. He then helped set it up for me and demonstrated how to build a coil. I also dropped down on strength, it shows how ineffective the vapestick was, I'm getting dizzy from the nicotine on this beast! Anyway...... my new purchase is this A Cloupor mini with Kanger subtank mini I don't need to worry about shinyitus... I already have it! I can't believe it has taken me 16 months to discover mods, I always thought they did the same thing, maybe lasted a bit longer? I totally wasn't prepared for how great this is although I'm going to have to drop the amount of nicotine in the juice, I have it set at 15w on the smallest air hole setting and taking 1 second mouth to lung drags on it and the nicotine is sending me dizzy (content is 12mg) Vape shops NEED to be pushing this kit on to newbies because this would have saved me a fortune if I'd have got it a year ago (although the savings made would be swallowed up with buying new shiny things) VERY VERY happy I stumbled across this forum! Thanks guys, and I make no apologies for the excessive use of exclamations in my post, I'm that happy! P.S. I chose a Cloupor because they didn't have any ISticks, I was going to go with an Innokin Itaste MVP but glad I plumped for the mini, it's just the right size to stick in my Jeans pocket

Advice taken!
Used the link someone posted earlier with a 10% discount so got the I stick and the nautilus for a few quid shy of £50, only marginally more expensive than my first ecig, which lasted 6 weeks!
I take it it's quite easy to get to grips with? I know nothing of electwickerwy so have no idea what the wattage and ohms mean

Holy shit! Just watched a YouTube video on the istick 30...... How much vapour?
That's definitely for me I think
Is there anywhere I can buy the whole kit or do I have to choose the bits and Bob's? It looks a lot more complex than what I use at the moment.

Hahahaha sounds like I'm in for a treat. Money isn't a limiting factor, I don't mind shelling out if it is fit for purpose. I tried the ones that look like cigarettes but I might as well be sucking on a nicorette inhalator. I stuck with the pen type vape sticks because that's the first one I was recommended when I popped into sweetcloud (my local vape shop). I've had 4 starter kits from them in the last year and was about to push the button on a couple of evod sticks on eBay (before I found this forum)
The only reason I didn't get them is I'm a bit scared I'll end up blowing my face off, you hear so many horror stories .
I don't understand the coils thingy, I'm used to screwing a clear tank with the two wicks in it on the top and away I go.

This is what I have at the moment, I've probably spent £200 on batteries, starter kits and clearomizers. I'm a bit lazy so something low maintenance is more my thing

Hi all
Been off the fags since 1st Jan 2014, up until recently I was only able to buy my eliquid from a local vape shop (which meant a frantic drive through rush hour after work to get there before the shop closed)
I was disappointed with the kits I had bought, both for battery life and shelf life, the batteries lasted about 6 weeks before the thread wore out, I was told in the shop this is normal?
I've worn out 4 of these type batteries, however after losing my ecig one night in a pub in N Yorks, I stumbled across a vaping shop in Ingleton where I bought a larger capacity battery that has lasted 2 weeks short of a year, I lost it last week (in a pub) this time in the Mendips.
I have emergency ecigs as back ups, one is a dodgy looking one I bought in Spain (as the battery ran out on a night out) and a vapestick I bought as my clearomizer broke. Sadly the tanks aren't interchangeable.
So..... I'm actually in the market for some new vaping kit and I've just discovered there is more to it than meets the eye!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
