james10 i just watched episode 1 of Making a Murderer this is going to be a very good docu getting raving high reviews everywhere and have The Man in the High Castle on the way this looks amazing also another two to add to your list Thanks Zuza, I had heard of the first documentary, about the chap who got sent away for a murder he didn't commit and then when he got out, he did commit one? The Man in the High Castle looks ideal for our lass, as its an Amazon series, where will it be shown? Is that a stupid question?

Really enjoyed it m'self, good to see Luther back, looking forward to the next episode and seeing Alice Maybe?? I watched the 2nd episode on the IPlayer, weather was bad so it stuttered an awful lot, so it may have been that, but I felt the 2nd episode was terrible. I completely missed the part of who Sally and co were supposed to be and for me it just completely smacked of a rush job. It didn't make sense. To kill Alice off by some random was not cool. Was so bad, that id be quite happy for them not to make another. Polar opposite to the first episode.

Really enjoyed it m'self, good to see Luther back, looking forward to the next episode and seeing Alice Maybe?? I had forgot how much I enjoyed it. Great TV even though Alice was my favourite character, I have a sneaking suspicion that she will appear as a different actress In the second which could ruin it. Ruth Wilson was awesome.

I forgot that one on my list Geordie, don't know how. Even tried watching it a second time but didn't really work. Have you seen Six Feet Under? (Taking the chance that you are a Newcastle fan?)

I've finished Luther, enjoyed it. Couldn't stomach Heroes although our lass liked it. Out of the others, which was your favourite and why? Spartacus was probably best because it was so funny and gory at the same time, some bits definitely make you feel ill if you just eaten a bucket might be needed, Vikings again has a few seriously gory bits and you get to learn about an eagle ...... the Borgias was good because it paints early politics in all its corruption flawlessly (which is why the Vatican had their production license revoked before the final season was made) the others all have thought provoking funny /gory parts and are generally enjoyable to watch imo I also found hero's to be rather junk after the 3rd series but I watched them all anyway just for completeness besides I had nothing else to watch for a few days and it was free Cheers Nanotm, Ill give Sparticus some thought then as I have heard some decent things. My shortlist at the minute is: Narcos Gotham Sparticus And I saw a trailer with Sawyer from Lost in it so ill have to watch that at some point.

I'll through a few more into the mix... Banshee - kinda ultra-macho small town america deal, lasted four seasons with added gratuitous violence. Da-Vinci's Demons - a bit up itself but a hoot and, ekk, with added gore. Utopia - clever, dark, fun, clockwork-orange type violence. Lasted two of the three planned series and a hard stop mid story. Recently on Sky - You, Me And The Apocalypse - hilarious and, oh yes, dark in places. Less vino.Cheers Tom, I liked the sound of Utopia until the hard stop, I cant deal with things ending before I know what happens.

Walking Dead, Haven, Criminal Minds, Continuum? I really enjoyed Continuum but just as I was getting interesting they dropped it. Anybody remember flash forward? That was good and also got dropped after the first series. I seem to have a kiss of death on the good telly. Better call saul was a fun watch. But as I watched it dont hold out for season 2. Going to count that out then, I hate not knowing what happens in the end. Which is strange as I adore Lost and I've still no idea what was going on there.

+1 for Gotham I've been enjoying seeing characters we all know from a different perspective. +2 for Sons of Anarchy - Think they probably did stretch it out a season or two too far but still made me want to become a motorcycle outlaw. To ease the pain of Sons finishing I tried Breaking Bad. Great television with enough twists to keep me hooked til the end. (Didn't make me want to start cooking Meth). I'll throw a few others out to see what people think:- Orphan Black- I'm into series three. The initial premise is good not sure how much further it can go. Bastard Executioner - Written by the same guy who wrote SoA. My expectations were way high so ultimately I'm disappointed. Something to watch whilst waiting for the next series of Game of Thrones. Just found a new one called Into The Badlands. Only four episodes in so early days but it's got potential. Tell me about it, only just shaved off my ridiculously long biker beard.

james10 How could I forget - The Shield. The guy who played the truck driver at the end of SOA is the main character - as well as Kenny Johnson, Jay Karnes and the wonderful CCH Pounder - all very Kurt Sutter. Great Show Id heard of that although I was a bit wary after the wire, assumed they would be similar. Talking of SOA cameo's, what was that all about with the Hoff?

james10 Gotham is awesome, its up there with Breaking Bad and Dexter. Season 1 has you guessing who will turn into which character. Season 2 is all about the bad guys and is the best thing I have seen in ages. That good? I'm a bit surprised and hadn't heard it hyped to that point. I will pop it on the shortlist on that recommendation. I keep thinking Colin Farrell as Bullseye but I'm guessing that's Hells Kitchen or something, did you watch that?
