Hi Nick, I forgot I have done Sopranos, although I never watched the last couple of episodes, heard the ending was terrible and its been years gone by so I guess I never will. I really tried the wire just didn't grip me. And SOA at the end yea, what was that speed all about, I did think at a couple of time if he hits something at the speed hell do well to brake both his legs. I only finished the Sopranos a couple of weeks ago. I remember there being a lot of debate around the final scene - didn't bother me that much. I thought the series outstanding. As for the Wire it absolutely captivated me. I was bought it by a mate who said I would love it. I have watched the whole thing three or four times now. The fifth series is the weakest, but Dominic West as McNulty ("WTF did I do") and Idris Elba as 'Stringer' Bell - just brilliant (at least for me). I do know a couple of other people who just couldn't get into it, and knowing them it surprised me. The other series to try is Band of Brothers - 10 episodes only but wonderful stuff. Nick I just felt Sopranos was really easy watching, I wasn't interested in any character development or anything. Interesting to see how most of there careers developed afterwards though, thought Wendy was a bit wooden in SOA. The Wire, I tried most of the first season but it became that I was watching it just because so many thought I would like it.

I tried Walking dead out the sheer amount of hype it gets but the first season didn't grip me at all, finishes with those lights coming out of a wharehouse type thing? Not heard of Haven or Continuum? I love the Walking Dead. I struggled with The Wire for the first 5 or 6 episodes but after that I was completely hooked. Haven & Continuum are both a little different, but good watches. The other one that I watched compulsively, from start to finish, was The West Wing, an oldie but really good I heard West Wing was very good. Have you tried House of Cards, I believe its similar themed?

.......did he think he was Jesus on a bike or something? [ spoiler] [ spoiler] Yes that was the implication - remember the wine and bread he had from the homeless woman. Oh wow, I hadn't for a second thought it was anything more than an oversight but yea, that bread and wine was out of place. What a very strange thing to insinuate, died for his followers etc... With that in mind, possibly worst ending since Dexter.

Sopranos and The Wire, arguably the best TV ever made (possibly alongside Breaking Bad) Narcos is brilliant as well I quite enjoyed SOA but it was incredibly annoying at points, the final scene was dreadful - they must have been going at around 10mph. I have just started Man in the High Castle, still unsure about it. Nick Hi Nick, I forgot I watched Sopranos, although I never watched the last couple of episodes. james10 the Tudors Vikings black sails Spartacus Whitechapel arrow Constantine luther ripper street rome the Borgias heros justified some of the ones I found enjoyable along with the ones you listed as having already watched. p.s. did you also think the ending of the final series of SOA should have been finished with them all dying ? I've finished Luther, enjoyed it. Couldn't stomach Heroes although our lass liked it. Out of the others, which was your favourite and why? Without dropping too many spoilers I thought all those that had to die probably did and you know whose death was funny and sad at the same time, did he think he was Jesus on a bike or something? [ spoiler] [ spoiler]

Breaking Bad and Gotham. How could I forget Breaking Bad of my list, I envy those that haven't watched it as they get to watch it for the first time. Hadn't considered Gotham to be honest, any good?

Just finished it. In truth I felt it went down hill after season 2, became a bit too far fetched for me but all in all a good watch. My question is, what next?
I will have a bit of free time over the holidays so wondering what to watch next, so far I have done:
Lost (about 4 times, my favourite) Dexter House Suits American Horror Story (2 seasons, second was terrible) Game of Thrones
I have a bad habit of once starting, needing to finish and the second season of AHS was a very tough grind. I like something that I have 3 or 4 seasons ready to watch but with them being such a time sink, I would like AAEC expert opinions before hand?
