Got excited about Aldi buttons then realised it would cost me more in petrol to get them than just to buy cadburys, but you do get more buttons ..................................................

Yep ciggies still on display in Scottish Tesco's. The more I think about it the more I think its actually a good idea. As someone who has not quite given smoking I can see a day in the not to distant future when I have given up and used up/got rid of/binned the fags I have left where I may be in a supermarket having a rubbish day, maybe I forgot to take my e-cig to work with me that day and I see the cig counter and think yep I could totally have a fag right now. So I go and buy a packet and down the slippery slope. I would imagine that to the occasional smoker the visual stimulant of actually seeing the Cig counter might be enough to draw them to buy a packet the more often they see that attraction the more likely they are to become a habitual smoker so the "nanny" state may well have a point after all! Vis-a-vis conta arguement regarding the long term effects of e-liquid on your well-being I think there is a whole host of evidence from our forum that in the short-term its has a beneficial effect on health , longer term remains to be seen but I am 99.9% certain that it will prove to be far less harmful! The problem is per Macca's point above that tobacco has been smoked for over 2000 years and for over 500 years in western society and we've only just discovered how harmful it is to health www.tobacco.org/History/Tobacco_History.html .

The corner shop this morning, still have all there baccy products on full display . . . the large supermarkets are ahead of the game I think? If I remember rightly Perpy , they gave the locals longer to comply, i also can't remember if this is U.K law or just England law will try and remember to have a look when i go to Tesco's tomorrow , Would be nice if for once you guys got to "try" something first

Yes I knew I had seen it some where !! I think this would be great ! I also meant to say non-smokers love the smell of shisha when I went my friend kept making me smoke it and she's so anti I'm surprised we are friends!
Getting that I am quite surprised this evening but its been a hard week so I am happy to be enjoying this experience again thanks Global and Jemima!

This is a great idea but not new, they are various "vaping pubs" across the UK , could of swore I've seen it on the news but could have just as easily seen it on you tube. Not to knock you because if you could make it the "norm" rather than an exception would be great! I have two things you may want to consider I'm also stealing from old ideas but they've worked for others the first may take you back to Sky Cig's which is what I saw when I worked in Zante where L & B did this thing where they got PYT's who offered you a full pack of cig's in exchange for your packet of cig's , I used to carry a pack with 2 cig's in just to get the full pack, you could do that with some form of cig alike or disposable even using the laughable line "You can get 40 cigs out of this one and you can use it inside!". Not sure if this was pure advertising , and the collection of fag packets wasn't just for auditing purposes to prove the PYT wasn't just giving the fags to their mates , but in the tight budget margin of tourist destinations I'd be very surprised if the collected cig's didn't offset the cost of the loss of giving out free pack some how. The second option is a bit more classy, which is to base it on the shisha bars of North Africa , when I worked in Morocco you ordered your drinks of a menu , when ordering your drinks the waitress would offer you shisha , which was also on the menu, if you ordered shisha there was a price per person per half hour, the shisha offered was in a pipe , was probably where stoners got the idea for a bong and it resembled that (not that I've ever smoked a bong but I've watched all of Tarantino's movies ) with hot rocks in the top . I reckon if you were so inclined it would be quite easy to develop an electronic version. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if there was already a mod on the market that you could share with friends . I seem to remember the cost of the Shisha being five euro per head per half hour which if you could launch it right could be very profitable . Anyway think its a great idea and hope thats helped, might be worth starting a new thread as people might not noticed it tucked down in your welcome thread....

no offence taken Gordy, I am not convinced but I'd also like to put this one too bed now. Currently I'm mistrusting every bit of my kit and myself I think really I just need to go back to basic's and use what I know works which is Riva and Cartomizer

How many kids do we know who don't want to taste 'forbidden fruit'? It just makes it more appealing IMHO. That doesn't mean I condone it in any way, but so many kids love to break rules or it's peer pressure, or even bullied into it by other kids. I. The whole concept is ridiculous. Anne this is what I think exactly , I didn't start smoking too look cool or anything like that , I think the main reason I started was because I was always the "good" kid and I wanted to do something bad without being too confrontational , and hiding things behind doors will only make kids think I wonder why its so good they have to hide it. Stopping smoking in public places is a good thing hiding it behind closed doors is encouraging it , too my mind anyway

Worth a try Kirsty! They weren't the Low Resistance ones were they? Else you'll have a fried E-lite as well. oh I bought one of each but I used nail varnish too mark em think I will try just for fun! Boy's boys thanks for all your help but I feel a bit like you are all falling out and its stressing me out and I don't think we are going to resolve this one (well unless the e-lite works )
