Firstly hi, fantastic forum you have here!! Secondly..... I so wish I had found out about this forum whilst I was doing my research about Ecigs, if I had then I wouldn't have bought the SkyCig I guess. Don't get me wrong, they have served their purpose for the past 4 weeks but now I have found out that they are perhaps the first mistake than many make because they do the most marketing..... Onwards and upwards from here, I did have some issues with vaping to begin with, I was getting what I thought were dodgy cartomisers but realised with SkyCigs you had to prep the first one carefully and then you got the hit you wanted, not prepping it left me wanting a normal cig and going blue trying to suck smoke out of the blooming thing I have done some poking about on here and it appears my next purchase will be Riva 1100, is this the best in your opinion and what are its strengths/weaknesses to live with? Also, the one thing I DO like about the SkyCig is the fact that I have the packet with me that doubles up as charging station as well so I just swap over the batteries and off I go, the Riva ones are just recharge and go (as far as I can tell). How long do they last for? would I survive the day with two fully charged batteries? the worst thing I can think of is being stuck somewhere with two flat batteries, this alone would make me smoke normal cigs again. So any advice on the Riva's would be fantastic, are they easy to refill? Can I use the old cartomisers from my SkyCigs on the Riva? (I bought 8 packets of the blooming things so have quite a few empties knocking about). Thanks (sorry for the many questions)

HI GB and I don't have much time at the moment, others will come a long and give you more detailed answers: Riva 1100 is an excellent choice, just get some CARTOMISERS and some juice. You will get a full day from 2 batteries maybe a bit more dependant on your vaping habits. They are very easy to fill look in the newbies section, there's loads of vids that will answer your questions. Skycigs/Riva compatability will be answered by someone. Before you order, make sure you get a discount code to save tyou a few quid.

Hello & a warm welcome from me Global! Many of us started off on a not so brilliant ecig, so you're far from alone there . . . but it did give us an idea of what ecigs could do for us, so they weren't a wasted exercise. Des & Whufc have given you grand advice with the Riva 1100, Jason is the most helpful of Vendors, as indeed are all the ones I've dealt with. Let us know what you decide to buy and keep us updated won't you.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome everyone, I'm used to friendly forums but this one is on another level!! I have just emailed Jason about the Riva 1100 and the low resistant cartomisers, just waiting for an email back, I will also use the discount code (thanks for pointing that out DiscoDes). Is there anything else (except liquid) I need? I've seen tips and all sorts of accessories, I don't mind spending because this is going to save me a small fortune so fire away and help me spend

You need a drip tip and that's about it on top of what you have already said. Well in fact you don't need one as such, but you need one if you are going to enjoy vaping more Any cheap one you like the look of will do. Buy small amounts of e-juice to start with.

If you want to try flavours (which are very subjective) i'd recommend getting some small samplers. You should get at least 6 months out of your Riva 1100 and more likely a year. Once the initial outlay is out of the way figure on a budget of £10 - £12 a week, provided you don't keep buuying new stuff. Just a thought, if you don't mind spending just a little more get yourself a Stardust Ego Vision (about £5) from Darren at Safercigs - use code allaboute for 10% off. The stardust is very nice and easy to use as well.

Hi mate, and welcome. A riva is a great move, the batteries last me more than a day EACH, so 2 days at least out of 2 batteries, and I'm no light vaper. If you buy from Jason at vape escape, and include a note in the order to change the atomisers and cartridges for cartomisers, he will include a drip tip anyway. Good luck, and Happy Vaping.
