I would love to go to the Vape meet, unfortunately I live way up in the wilds of North London and have a family do I have to go to that same night.
Maybe I can make it to the next one!

Thanks so much for all the encouragement and advice! I feel a bit silly for finding it all a bit daunting, but I do intend to persevere, (have to- just ordered some maple-flavoured liquid!) I probably need to order some more of the atomisers, then... but they seem to be two different strengths, and I'm not sure which to get... the ecig store that my kit comes from seems to be out, but this place has them. www.aromavapes.co.uk/the-one-kit-coils-5-pack-c2x17330925They want me to choose between 1.8 or 2.1 ohm....my battery is 650, but I don't know how to decide which is the right one. I think the tip about finding someone to show me how to do things is good... I also grasp things easier if I'm shown, and can ask questions there and then!

Hello, everyone- I'm feeling a bit lost at sea over vaping already...and I've really only been at it a week! I tried having a look at the tutorials, but am still confused. Firstly, I think I should explain...I am a complete technophobe, unfortunately. This might be because I have dyscalculia, which is a type of numerical dyslexia...it relates to numbers, and symbols. So, if I have to ready anything with quite a few numbers or symbols, (or even appreviations) in it, it's virtually unreadable- it all gets a bit scrambled in my head. So, all the info about liquids and percentages and whatnot is a nightmare. (I have to look at my bottle of liquid EVERY time if I want to know what it's percentage is... I have a lot of trouble retaining numbers in my head.) Add to this my inability to relate to gadgets, and you have someone who can't figure out one end of the ecig from another. (I have the One Kit from the Ecig Store) which I got because it was supposed to be simple and easy to use. I've tried reading the manual, but it's a bit vague... the man in the shop recommended that I wash it? (surely not the battery part!) and what with? Just water? Washing up liquid??? It also says I might need to replace the clearomiser maybe every FEW DAYS...or it might last up to a few weeks?? What, the WHOLE THING?? I simply can't afford that. And I think, (from what I can remember the guy in the shop saying) there is something else I'm supposed to replace, (the automiser?) but I can't find that in the instructions. Is a tank the same thing as the clearomiser? Sorry for all the questions, but this morning I am really missing the lovely simplicity of my papers and tobacco. The best analogy I can use to describe it, is that I'm not a very capable cook. So, imagine if the only way I could cook something was to use a very complicated microwave.. which I first had to put together. I just wouldn't do it... I would get a takeaway, even if I knew it was bad for me. I hope I can find a simple way to do this, because I don't really want to go back to smoking.... help!

I cannot believe how many welcomes... thanks, everyone! The liquid I've got now isn't too bad... it's actually got a (very faint) spicey aftertaste. Only had two roll-ups yesterday- none today, (so far... but it's not lunchtime yet, so I'm not holding myself to that too strictly). The ones I had yesterday didn't taste as nice as usual, so that's a result. Once I find my way around the forums here, I'll start asking around about liquids- and other ecigs, too. I'm going to have to stick with the one I've got for now, (some are expensive!!) but I'm definitely up for some different flavours.... I've read reviews for a maple one that sounded really nice.

Thanks for the welcome, and all the advice! The liquid I'm using is the one that came free with the kit, (the man in the shop recommended it) it's 'Tobacco', made by UK ecig and the bottle says it's 0.8% (8mg) and is 70%pg and 30% vg. Obviously I don't have any idea what all this means. Although I think vg is vegetable glycerin?

I finally took the plunge and actually bought my e-cig over a month ago and have been struggling to get to grips with it, (it's The One Kit from UK Ecig Store.) After watching a few videos, I've realised that there should be a little bit of rubber inside the mouthpiece which isn't there... the first few times I used it, it was so harsh I nearly doubled over coughing! Went back on the cigs for a few weeks, but tried to persevere, (very naughty... I tried putting a slim Swan filter in the end of the mouthpiece, which did help! but I was worried that wasn't good for it, so only did that every now and again.) It seems to be getting easier, (still have a few roll-ups a day, but have cut back.) I am confused by the instructions and all the e-liquids out there, but I'll save that for another day. Just wanted to drop in and say hello, really!
