The legal situation is if you dont have a patent you will never have a case. A device that has a coil in a chamber vaporising liquid via battery power is a very simple device. You can wrap it up differently and charge as much as you like but it will never be worthy of a patent except in exceptional circumstances. The man widely regarded as the inventor of modern ecigs was Hon Lik in China in approx 2004. You could argue that everything that came after is a clone of his invention and he should be payed accordingly. The majority of innovation since he invented it has come from China and that continues today. If you create a new deck or atomiser you are stealing Hon Lik`s idea and you will know before you do that that it will be cloned and you dont have a hypocritical leg to stand on.As far as buying from China, it has risks, it has delays and it always will. If that is going to be a problem for you personally then dont buy from China. It`s not just ecigs, it`s right across the board depending on how clued up and perceptive the company that you buy from is. All of the B and Ms in the UK know that and put up with it because they know, at the end of the day, they will make a healthy profit. robby I'm not sure that argument stands, so what about the first car made, the first aeroplane etc etc just because it hasn't got a patent doesn't mean its ok to just copy some one elses work, its like promoting counterfeiting and its ok, look at Fleabay its flooded with snide this and snide that, camera batteries, car parts you name it its faked. I wish this country could get back to being Great again and have a backbone, but I'm afraid its like the bloody Titanic at the moment I can see this could go on for ages and I hope it doesn't get out of hand, I'm keeping me mouth shut before I get too involved, I mean no offence robby or anyone on here, just different opinions, each to their own.................

The thing is if I went to all the trouble, time, money to invent a new innovative deck, tank whatever and then all of a sudden its cloned in China for peanuts in a sweat shop I would be a little bit miffed, there has to be some moral stance to buying snides in China or am I on my own?
I'm not having a go at anyone, as far as China is concerned if we didn't carry on buying from them I'm sure India is going to be the next sweat shop manufacturer of cloned this & cloned that, have we not learned what happens when the market is flooded with cheap alternatives, just look at the state of the British Steel Industry?
Also whats the legal situation of buying all these clones of someone else's idea?

My way of simplifying the above, so you don't have to get all your mixing stuff out and add individual pg/vg/nic to each sample, is that I keep a 100ml bottle made up of my own preferred pg/vg/nic ratio, that I've already factored in adding 5% of concentrate to (obviously sometimes I'll add more than 5%, sometimes less, but it's only a tester so it doesn't matter if this increases or decreases the nic in the tester. It's not going to make a big difference at such a small amount). So then I just pour 5mls of that mixture into a 10ml empty bottle, and add the required amount of concentate. Job Done Cheers spacey what a fantastic idea and thank you for the advice its very much appreciated Just got a few more recipes to do then I will try some experimenting and this has solved my wondering how to do it!

Haha you gotta love diy - there's always one flavour missing!! Yep, I've watched his diy or die vids and enjoy his style, he makes me laugh I've been meaning to make Bronuts for ages but am missing CAP choc donut, in fact chefs sent me an email saying it was back in stock yesterday, so I'll order some this weekend. I did make his Funfetti, but so far it isn't really doing it for me. It's been steeping for eons now, but I don't seem to taste what everyone else does unfortunately. Can't win 'em all I suppose!! I just don't seem to like the FA Joy - no matter how long it's steeped for I still get a flat beer taste from it Have fun making mixes - if I can offer just one piece of advice it would be to learn your flavours individually before making recipes. I know it seems like a pain when you want to just get stuck in, but from my experience I only started having success once I understood each flavour. Plus, you can then mix little bits of your flavour testers together on a dripper to see what works well and what doesn't Cheers spacey, each week I see a new recipe and bugger I'm short of something and I must have 70 flavours now. I tried to watch his vids but they are a bit too drawn out for me, my attention span isn't the best I got part an order through including the CAP Chocolate Glazed Doughnut and it smells and tastes mild choc doughnut, waiting on the other stuff to try Bronuts and now yours So how would you go about sampling individual flavours and what proportions? does it mean more bottles
