Hey everyone!
My Subox arrived today! Woohoo!
Just tried my first hit, man it is so different!
it feels a cleaner, more efficient burn but a lot more smoke. I've had to set it on the smallest hole for now as anything else is too much!
Took me a while to work everything out and I was in fear of blowing the coil! I've got it at 26w, which is what was suggested on the side of the coil - I dare not to push it higher in case it breaks it.
Although really early days, this is so much superior to my vapestick. My have to invest in some "proper" e-liquids now! While you guys suggest it burns through them more quickly, if I can get them for £1 - £2 I'll probably save some money still!
I like the sound of this shiny-itis - but you guys must still be saving having stopped by cigarettes?

Thanks Droog, bloody love A Clockwork Orange too! Was wondering whether the Subox had the subtank with it. I just considered the Mod might not have been as good? Didn't realise you needed batteries too! Thanks for the heads up. It's a really solidly built mod, the kit comes with 2 spare coil heads by the way and the RBA head, the power is adjustable in 0.1W increments. Here's mine in my hand just to give you a better idea of size. You can also get spare coils on kingzofvapor if you're ordering the kit from there you might as well get the coils there too and save on postage. www.kingzofvapour.com/collections/coils/products/kanger-subtank-coilsSomething else i should mention is these tanks produce a lot more vapour than what you've been using so you will probably find the need to reduce the nicotine strength of the juice you are using currently or you'll end up with a nicotine buzz. ha ha! Nice hand! Will do thanks for the heads up again. I'm generally using 1.8%. How do I know if coils need changing?

Right guys, thanks for all your superb advice. I'm going to go with the Subox Mini kit (with samsung battery!) via KingofVapes. Just some minor queries. Should I get some replacement coils and wick (does it even use wick?!). How long will the starter pack last until I need to start replacing parts? Get a pack of 5 spare coils for the Subtank. I linked earlier to them from Myepack but KOV likely do them too . They do, although it asks for resistence & horizontal or vertical?!

Here are a few different styles rorocalhounAll the tanks are 22mm diametre which are quite top heavy on the "cigar" type batteries. You can get 18mm atties such as the Subtank nano which look better on the smaller batteries but of course hold less juice Any of the above take your fancy ? Wow - that's a collection! The one on the left looks good, what battery is that? What are the pro's & cons of that? I'm on the verge of the istick with subtank - i like the adjustments you can make and a display too!

No shame & no mistake if you've manage to be off the cigarettes for 18 months, very well done. If you've looked around the forum, you'll see hundred of different devices, mods, coils etc, it's a bit overwhelming at first. Personally I'm a big fan oft he subtank mini, coupled with something like an Istick 50 watt mod. Both are good quality & offer good value in my opinion (other opinions will vary The subtank has coils that are widely available, and you can get huge clouds or not as you prefer. It also has a rebuildable deck that you can coil & wick yourself if you wanted to go in that direction, although many people are happy with the price & availability of the stock coils. Shopping in China can make it all even cheaper if you can wait for delivery. As for juices, the world's your mollusc, all down to personal taste. Personally I mix my own, as many of us do, so can't comment on retail juice. Hope that helps a little, I'm sure that many others will chip in with their opinions soon. Well done & welcome - Bob Thanks Bob, you've answered most of the questions I asked in my reply to Greg! I'll check it all out now!

Hi and welcome to AAEC. I'd recommend the Subtank mini, a very versatile tank that will meet your needs now and into the future should you decide to rebuild. The SB mini is one of the easiest to rebuild on and regardless of whether you HSE the RBA ofr stock coils it's also one of the most leak free in my experience. For the mod (battery) I think the istick 30watt is a great starting point. For juice I'd recommend TJuice, great flavours and should you wish to mix your own in future they sell the concentrates too. Thanks Greg, I'm a little worried from looking at your MiniSubtank re-build guide? I'm assuming I can buy a replacement coil to avoid having to do this? Also, what battery would you put with this? I would prefer a slimer cigar like one, rather than a bulky thing that I can't fit in my pocket!

Good Morning All! I've just joined having stumbled across your forum looking to improve my vaping equipment (and save some money). I've been vaping for about 18 months now, but was never a massively heavy smoker. I am sad to say that I've been using a vapestick with clearomisers for the entirety and have seen that I've been making a huge mistake! I was always content with the Vapestick in terms of the hit and vaping power but am getting frustrated about costs and reliability!! It seems to me that the clearomisers start to fail very quickly, perhaps because I started to buy "Debang" e-liquids (you can get them in most garages)? I end up having to use a new one every week at best! at £5 or so a pop I think its a bit ridiculous. Also the batteries are OK but you have to change every 6 weeks because they start losing charge thats another £16.99! I'm keen to switch over to something a lot better, but am confused on the parts situation?! Clearly the subtank mini is a good purchase, but I understand this is just the tank bit? What battery is best for it? Can anyone advise on what parts need regular changes? Wicks, coils? Is there a specific type of fluid best used in this? This is all new to me as you just bought the clearomiser and battery for the vapestick. I've been searching through amazon and the parts etc, seem very cheaply priced so I can see myself saving a lot of money even if they need changing regularly! I am potentially going to buy this www.pipedreamsuk.com/kanger-evod-mega-starter-kit.html - but thought i'd garner your thoughts first? Sorry for the newbie opening - I'm sure you've answered this a million times.
