if you wanted to wet cotton with juice but didnt want to waste good juice you could always wet it with unflavoured no nic vg which is reasonably cheap. you could vape straight away. the only downside is that the first few draws would be tasteless.
which ever way you decide on i hope you get it sorted.
enjoy

a couple of things to bear in mind. it takes a while for your taste buds to recover from smoking full time but it will happen. once the coil has been used for half an hour or so dont be frightened to up the watts till you find your sweet spot. i wouldnt go much above 14 watts tho. you will soon find whats right for you. we all have a way of vaping which is unique to us. i dont vape tobbacco juices but i have friends that do and they say that the house of liquids range are very good.
it may serve you well to check out the juice reviews from prof beard. his reputation in the vaping community is top notch and his reviews on tobbacco flavours are detailed.
enjoy.

regarding wattage, i would start at 8 watts and gradually increase until its good for you but dont go above 14/15 watts as the coils arent really suited for much higher. i use nautilus at 12/14 watts with no probs. when a new coil is installed i would let the tank sit upright for 10 mins before using to let the cotton saturate properly.
enjoy.

if you can only handle wet cotton you will have to wait for it to dry but if you wet it with e liquid you wont have to wait for it to dry. it also primes coil for you at same time. problem solved.

Hello. The coils now use organic cotton and little imperfections in colour such as your pic are perfectly normal. I use those coils.
Enjoy.
ps the o ring is meant to be there .

bvc are far better in my opinion. as previously mentioned 14 watts should be more than enough, i use them between 10/13 watts depending on juice. start low with a new coil, about 9watts and increase steadily till you find what suits you. when you change coil fill tank and let it stand for 10 mins first so the wick has time to saturate.
enjoy.

the nautilus mini is a good tank for new vapers. minimal fuss and decent flavour and vapour. i would set power using watts and i wouldnt worry about volts. its much easier to understand.
volts multiplied by volts divided by resistance gives you watts.
e.g. 4 volts x 4 volts = 16 16 divided by 1.6 ohms is 10 watts.
just something to help you understand whats going on with the watts/volts thing lol
high vg juice tends to be thicker than pg juices so wicking can be a problem with high vg. if your wick cant keep up with your vaping due to the juice being too thick then a burnt out coil is enevitable. try a 50/50 vg/pg juice so you get the best of both worlds. if you cant vape pg then a subtank may be better for vg heavy juices but thats for another day lol.
feel free to ask questions if you need to, we have all been there lol
