Sounds like he is not using enough wick and he is also probably vaping at to lower wattages for the coil to vaporise the juice.

Well if you have 200w to play with then y.ou're probably better off sticking with a regulated. Especially if you're not planning to build low.
Mechs perform best with very low builds. A 0.3 build will draw 58w but with a regulated you can pump more through it.
A mech will only deliver what the coil wants so it's all governed by your build.
Big difference with a mech though is that, as far as I understand it, with a mech you can force he battery to put out more amps than it is rated for. Which is the dangerous bit.

What sort of builds do you use it with? I've read it can break down quite quickly with lower ohm builds?

What mod do you run your RDAs on currently? Only cause you may find a mech underwhelming if you're not planning to build low.

I do use FT as all my drippers are clones, I was just wondering as I've noticed a lot of people from here buying from them and I've never used them before.

Haha indeed. He's a mech purist so I trust he knows what he's doing. I'd rather keep the chances of me keeping all my fingers as high as possible though.

I don't use ohms law personally. I just make sure I use good quality, high drain batteries such as the Samsung 25R and never build lower than .2 just to be safe. You are using ohms law you just don't know it. Where did you get the not lower than 0.2 rule, likely passed onto you from someone who understands ohms law. If you look at my example above and instead of a 10 amp battery use a 20 amp battery like the 25R you'll see this now comes out at 0.21 ohms. Yeah a mate who does understand it told me that on paper, anything below .2 is dangerous territory even if your battery can handle lower but in practice they don't seem to blow up going lower. He builds ridiculous stuff like .08 using Sammy 25Rs and has never had a battery vent on him. I'm not brave enough for that personally.

Does it have to be tiny? I can highly recommend the Bellus. It's about the same size as a Subtank mini though.
