Merry Christmas from a new member

Hello all

i came across this forum recently and have been lurking just reading the many informative threads.
i packed up the smokes in mid September mainly for health reasons, I started on an E-Sheesh pen which was great to start with but soon started to disappoint because of low battery life etc. The battery packed up after a couple of months and brought it back to the shop only to be met with a shrug and was told that's just what happens.
I went to a vape shop to ask for some advice, I told them about the vape pen I was using and that I wanted to upgrade to something that would help me keep off the fags!
They suggested an istick 50w and an Atlantis 2 tank. I got it home and to be honest I couldn't get on with it, I now know after reading this forum it's a sub ohm tank that you need to vape juices of 6mg or below, I wasn't aware of that at the time and just couldn't get on with it.
After reading an excellent beginner thread on here I got myself an istick 30w with a mini nautilus tank an WOW that's the kind of vaping that suits me.
So I made a mistake, which can happen to us all, but I'm on the right track now and still off the fags which is all that matters. Thanks for the great advice and a merry Christmas one and all.

I should have done a bit more research into it with hindsight. In truth I don't feel very comfortable with vape shops at all, they seem to be staffed by young blokes blowing clouds and never seem to have any prices on show. Personally I find them a bit daunting as a beginner, I now do all my shopping online.

bullseye know want you mean about vape shops and staff blowing clouds, I like to sub ohm now and again and make a few clouds in my own home but mainly vape pro-tanks etc around 10 watts, works fine for me.

Your iStick and Nautilus are a great introduction to the wonderful world of vaping, although I wouldn't dismiss your first set up as being a complete mistake - you may find in a few months time, with a suitable eliquid, that the different style of vaping is more enjoyable for you.

Variety can help keep our habit fresh and interesting.

Merry Christmas and bullseye. As a newcomer to all this vaping malarky starting out is a VERY confusing time. Hang in there though and take it slowly. Looks like you have finally found some decent kit that suits you. Don't forget all of us on here were in your position not too long ago, so don't feel daft asking questions.

I know exactly what mean about and totally agree about vape shops (I'm sure there must be exceptions out there) if it wasn't' for researching and picking up some great advice on this forum I would also have given up on vaping.

As Perpetua has said, the other gear you have is great as a backup. likewise, do remember you can use the istick 50w with your nautilas as well.
