I've just bought some 25Rs with nickel tabs from NKON. Putting them in a 1550p in parallel - with USB charging - kind of like a LiPo pack. I was shocked by the lack of sag when I wired them up on the bench...
Mooch also found a measurable difference in where on the battery clip he soldered his wires. So the clips must be introducing a fair bit of resistance.

Seems to be a nice bit of kit thats well thought out. Like the way it solders straight on to a keystone sled and that its got a built in on/off switch to cut the power. Found out a few days ago Big Al's work at 3.7-4.2v too. Single/Parallel setups...

Didn't spot the polarity. DNA75 is about 6mm shorter no? The 75 is the same length minus the balance plug which is probably 5mm I just had an Lost Vape Esquare die on me. A capacitor came off the board. While I was inside I was shocked at the paucity of the soldering, board mounting and wire gauge. Evolv were amazing and said they'll swap out the board. I came to two conclusions. 1. I'll always buy Evolv. 2. Never buy mass produced - even from supposed high quality guys like Lost Vape. If I couldn't wield a soldering iron. You and people like Tippy/SVB would be my first choice...

Brilliant! Now i have it on even better authority. No grinding the box. Did you have to grind the sled slightly? That is the ultimate mod for me (maybe in black though...) Is that likely to be for sale? Thats was a 200 version i made and needed nothing taking off the sled. A 75 would be even easier (less wires). The blue had to have the sides of the sled ground down to get it in. I can definitely do you one in black. Didn't spot the polarity. DNA75 is about 6mm shorter no?

...not that I'm a position to pay for other people's labour at the moment. Parts and my labour only at the moment.
Coming to the end of a series of Tesla Sub Two inspired experiments. Trying to put two 18650s into 1550p and 1551XXM. I did a kind of HexOhm in the 1551. But just discovered that Big Al's can run off parallel batteries. Might try that next, but have an 80p Ego/PWM controller coming from Fasttech. Going to run a MOSFET using it. I've bought 25Rs with tags on. Plan was to shrink-wrap them like a LiPo, and have a USB charger...

I have it on good authority that it'll fit into a WideBoy from modmaker. That's what I'm planning on using... I have an aversion to tall mods... Like this maybe Brilliant! There looks like there's lots of room left in that box. Which box did you use? Can you get that to fit in a shorter box? I have it on good authority that it'll fit into a WideBoy from modmaker. That's what I'm planning on using... I have an aversion to tall mods...

Really looking forward to building DNA75 into a dual 18650. My ideal mod...

Really? Ric will answer my stupid questions via Facebook on a Sunday morning. I've seen him refund loads of Big Al's PWM boards that looked like user error issues to me. He even corrects my orders when I specify the wrong Pot. Not saying Stealthvape are bad, i've had nothing but sterling service, just saying they're equal pegging in my book... The one time I need help from him with a YiHi board that was a different size from the original he did check his stock then said he would contact YiHi and forgot, I asked him about a week later on another forum and I can't remember now what he said only that it was no help. Also when they stopped doing VariTubes he wasn't interested in getting any when a couple of us on another forum wanted them and I just wont use Flabby Daddy rubbish 510s. But those are just my experiences with them which I wouldn't even have mentioned if you didn't ask. It's not huge, dishonest or failing to give a refund or anything serious, I have no problem recommending them and I did post a link to them a few post back. It's good to hear you're recommendation. It's interesting to hear your experiences too. I'm mindful of it at the moment as I've just experienced amazing customer service from Evolv. On the whole the vaping suppliers are head and shoulders above other domains? What's the Griff with Fat Daddy? I'd always heard (mostly from the US) that varitubes were softer and prone to stripping...

You looking for that particular mod, or something like it?
The fact that you say VV and it had a dial, points to some kind of OKR/OKL/Raptor. Most famous example is the HexOhm. You can get a kind a kind of poor man's version (perhaps better in some ways) from Tesla, the Invader III. DNA Vapes have them for about £30.
Any clues to the size, how many batteries etc...might be able to narrow it down to something similar.
I love this style of mod, but find them a bit tall. So I've been making mods with the same electronics, but squeezing the into a Hammond 1550p or the WideBoy from modmaker...

I don't mean to speak out of turn, but that's a V1. V2s have a steel AFC band and a nipple-less top cap...
