I am getting sick sick of vendors reviewers etc offering a chance to win juice mods attys etc in return for likes on Facebook. There is not a chance in hell i am going to sign up to any of these sites. If you want to give to the forum create a list on here and not blackmailing folks to give you likes on Facebook etc. Rant over

And people win them, some win superb prizes like a whole range of decent juice, mods, atties etc all for a simple like? Why not?
Don't have to like everyone that comes along either, freedom of choice in that respect.

Facebook comps should be for facebook users not trying to garner support from a respected forum where all the hard work has been done. They should be building up there own support on facebook or whatever they use and do the hard work themselves instead of poaching from tried and tested sources.

Facebook comps should be for facebook users not trying to garner support from a respected forum where all the hard work has been done. And many Facebook users are also Forum members who contribute to its success, popularity . . . so why shouldn't they be able to access any FB competitions via the forum.

I really dont understand this. Facebook comps which are like amd share are free advertising. If i or anyone else had there own business would you turn down free advertising if someone offered it to you, no you would snap that up so how is this different?
I share lots of facebook comps to my my blog and facebook group it is then up to the induvidual to enter or not enter. If you dont like them just dont do them.

It's simple really. I rarely use FB so I don't enter. But they do say God loves a trier, so I don't have a problem with vendors posting them.

I know you have to move with the times but I hate FB with a passion. I still don't get how the BBC advertise free for them, twitter crap included. So I'm with the OP, any competitions for people who don't want to sell their soul (entire life) to the devil (marketing corps)?

I reckon {comment / share / tag} is now an accepted instrument used by many companies, including within the vaping scene. I occasionally find myself being tagged (and tag) within a very small group (i.e. so I will tag x and y, x will tag me and y, y will tag x and me (and correct grammar be damned) and privacy of shares will be set to us alone so the only people other than ourselves who will see it are those watching the ticker on Facebook and those who have us as close friends). Chances are that a few my friends are using social fixer to mask out posts that contain things like `vaping` or `eliquid`, which is their right (unless you are Facebook)
It is as it is.

I'm also rather confused about the OP's opinion on this matter. I DO use FB, and Twitter on occasion, but bizarrely I don't want everyone to know about my vaping (work colleagues, former students of mine, etc.) so tend not to share links to vendors as part of a competition. If you don't want to take part in such competitions, it's really simple - don't. If you don't want to watch a particular TV channel, you switch over to something else. It's all a matter of personal choice. I think you need to check the dictionary definition of 'blackmail' I rather think that's exactly what they are doing - FB is such a vast entity now that it's quite easy to miss a respected vendor and posting to the forum is simply alerting folks to their presence, no more. As for not promoting their business here on the forum, why not? Social media is here to stay, whether we like it or not, and will always be open to the odd case of abuse, purely because it is freely available and accessible. I think it's a bit selfish of you to deny myself and others of the chance to enter these competitions simply because you don't - this is a public forum

As long as the facebook / twitter comps are in the right section of the forum - the facebook twitter competition section - then I can't see the problem. And that's from someone who doesn't do either.
