What does no handling charge mean?
I notice on your web site btw, that you have no contact details at all that I could find. I found your address and mobile number on your facebook page in the end.

What does no handling charge mean? The site used to advertise free postage and whack a £3.50 handling charge at the end of the transaction without any prior notice and that wasn't liked by many.. So the site's policy has now changed to be more transparent upfront...

Trouble is it charges shipping per item. Even if you buy two of the same small thing postage doubles. 1 drip tip - 50p postage, 2 drip tips £1 postage. Not for me.

I must admit there are some fine tuning issues with the site.
Thx for your warm wellcome Perpetua.
I am trying to supply at the very lowest price possible and I have to concider the price of a First class stamp when people order 1 drip tip at £1.99. ??
Any suggestions. !

Bathy you're getting some positive reviews for your prices, so well done! I think the point with the postage was that we all know how much the post charges have gone up - many of us sell and swap with each other - but you may be able to combine postage on certain things without going up to the next RM pricepoint. The driptips was a good example.

I made the website from scratch by myself so it's a bit of website building problem I have i.e ( combining postage costs ) I didn't expect the demand I have received 10 or more orders every day even when I used a handling fee of £ 2.50 I haven't even started configering the site on google yet ! If anyone has any experience with websites I would appreciate the advice !

You create a google compatible sitemap and then go to the google webmaster site and submit the sitemap using your gmail account. www.xml-sitemaps.com/www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=enYou can do more or less the same with yahoo and Bing too..Just need to have yahoo and hotmail accounts..

How ever if you look at other venders if you ordered 1 drip tip for £ 2 there delivery charge would be £2.73 on average. Where as if you ordered one drip tip from my site the delivery would be 0.50 That's 5 drip tips @ 0.50 to match other venders charges and it wouldn't force the customer to buy more to make it worth paying the postage.
I used to be a customer and that really annoyed me so I am trying to find away for customers to make smaller orders. Be if people think its a bad idea I will do the same as other venders. !

Is it possible with the software Bathy to do a two tier postage system depending on how much customer's are spending? Although it'd probably work out more or less the same, somehow psychologically it's better than being charged for every item? Just my thoughts.
