Stan - yes - albeit they came with the Riva that I bought first. I got the Riva from Totally wicked, so would think their spare carts would be rounded, rather than the shape that you have found with the Tornado. I know what you mean about the shape/alignment, but in fact I have got used to them now, and think they provide a slgihter tighter fit - which is a good thing (no air leaks). I recently purchased a load of wadding to replace the filling when it gets beyond repair. If you like, Cam me your address and I shall send you some. I got acres of it!

Okey dokey, though i bought these carts for my 901's (they do fit), I've always felt they are true 510 cartridges as they are round tipped. (i prefer whistle tips). However, the end that fits into the attie isn't totally round. As with all other cartridges I've had, that end is either D shape or slightly oblong & these ones are of the slightly oblong variety. They are also the brownish/orange in colour & prefilled with a medium juice. The prefilled part won't be a problem as you can soon vape it off, but if you don't mind the colour & want to give them a try I'm more than happy to send you 5 to see if they solve your problem.

I second James' blue filler. It's more of a sponge consistency and dosen't have loose fibres floating about.
I cut it to about half the size of the cart (length wise) & usually that fits ok, if not I trim it little by little till it fits ok. I usually have the width just a touch smaller than cart width.
I always know when the cart is dry, as it gets a bit of an unpleasnt taste, so I either top up or try another flavour using a different cart.

Stan if you dont have an automatic battery you can direct drip I initially put 2-3 drips directly on the atty inhale for a while then 1-2 when needed, you will get a nasty taste which is the primer if you suck it dry tho ! in time you realize when you need to drip again and avoid this well mostly lol. I am still trying with carts myself i just cant get them right !

I remember a few weeks ago one of us said she had to line up the cart so that the oval was the right way around according to the atty bridge, otherwise she couldn't get a decent vape - that was a Tornegoriva model.
On the subject of "stuffing", I've got on better with James's blue stuff than with anything else; have not yet tried dear Hanow's white wadding though as I'm reusing the blue over and over after a rinse and pat dry - it just doesn't get damaged or fluffy.

Thanks to hanow & Chrissie for the offers - at the moment I'm ok as I've just received 10 blank carts from TECC (and another Tornado kit !) - and not getting the bad plastic taste as long as I remember to align the cart.
Only problem now is that sometimes I don't get good vapour production, with no obvious reason, but I'm still experimenting.

Stan, secret is to ensure a fully charged battery, a newish atomiser (which yours will be - albeit new ones often take a while to get going) and then it is to ensure a well filled cart with the foam/wadding stuff just below the rim of the cart, with a couple of drops on top to 'pool' it, and one or two drops on the atomiser itself. Only when that combination is in place do you get a good vape. That is assuming that you have a good juice. Some vape better than others. Have you got Jim's juices? (Paradise)?

A very useful video clip: based on a 901 cart but the principle is the same for most models. Fox

Thanks hanow - that's pretty much what I'm doing, although I am still getting variable results - sometimes good, sometimes not so good. The latest problem I am getting is that some carts seem to be a looser fit than others, and seem to let too much air in. Wrapping tape around most of the join between cart and cone seems to help, but obviously not ideal. Is this a common problem? Ref the video - it was informative but for some reason I found this one more interesting...

Stan, a good tip for loose carts is to heat up a needle & instantly press it against the side of the cart & the n pull it away. Doing so will form a ridge on the cart & make it a tighter fit
