Jo, IMHO you can't get better than the GG's - but they don't come cheap (but also IMHO, worth every penny) : - www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epages/yxve46fvrnud.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Categories/GGI've been using the GG Grant (not being made at the moment but think It's going to be relaunched soon) for over a year & it still performs as well as the day i bought it. Recently also bought the GGTS - it's big & very beautiful & using it with the 18650 battery, you can vape for a couple of days without recharging. however, there are many other good mods out there & hopefully others will come along to tell you about the Mako etc

Hi Jo and welcome.
You will see that quite a few of us newbies are using the Riva 510. A couple of us have had some teething problems with it, but we're getting along brill now.

Thank you both. Am I allowed to give you karma? I was wondering more along the lines of the little gem as it is cheaper than the GGs. I know about the possible ban of these devices and I read a poem about it here yesterday. I cannot find the poem now. Where is it please? I am also interested in the Screwdriver and the Mako.

I was wondering more along the lines of the little gem as it is cheaper than the GGs. I have a brand new Little Gem which I could offer to sell you at a discount - but I won't, because I don't think you'd find it at all comfortable to handle. I recommend that you do not consider it. Plenty of members have MarkI and MarkII Screwdrivers (SDs), and one or two have (recently I believe) acquired the Mako and are extremely pleased with it. It seems possible that the Mako could be almost as good as the GG range at a somewhat lower cost. I have an SD MkI - it is very reliable in itself, and the batteries (from China) are cheap; they last about 3 hours or so before requiring recharging, depending on vape frequency. Then you need atomisers - with every e-cig these are the weakest link but we have to live with that - and you will get the 510 or 901 versions (unless you go out on a limb with an 801 model) which are now available in Low Resistance (LR) or High Voltage (HV) to match certain battery strengths. Chrissie or other Mod - if you want to edit this info rather than correct it in a separate post, feel free. I'm not very "up" on the new atties. I don't have any experience of the SD MkII or the Mako. Given that so many newbies are thrilled with their Riva, why not have a look at it? scylla

Jo I do have an SD - shows on the board as for sale, just as Chrissie says. I'm a bit reluctant to sell it though, if I'm honest, as although I believe it's working, we all had problems with that batch which makes me rather nervous about passing it on. You'd possibly be better with the Mako (I'm thinking of getting one myself) or the riva, which is very good. Never heard of Little Gem, but as Scylla advised against I would steer clear. Oh & the poem seems a long time ago now - lol Wish you luck with whatever you decide upon

Hallo to both of you, I'm past the 6 months mark now and couldn't have done it without the support of this board, so welcome and good luck.
