Nope - I got it wrong
Has a thyroid prob - & is on thyroid med (1 pill a day) but not thyroxine. Can find out more if we need to. Haven't come up with anyone yet

Think you're right & her thyroid is overactive. Can check with owner if we find someone.

Distance isn't a problem as "Hatty" is worth the trouble of a journey - though Scotland might be a bit toooo far - lol

She would be best as an "only" cat though & not being left for very long periods of say 8 hours plus.

It's a big ask but seemed worth a try.

I'm sorry I'm not posting on the board at the mo as, truthfully, & much to my regret, I have little to helpfully contribute to the forum right now.

Hopefully, multi-sh*t situations do not last indefinitely though Enough said (on a public forum anyway!)

I logged on tonight to catch up on news & just wanted to say something, in all humility.

This is a great little forum; unusual in it's friendliness; with really diverse, nice, interesting, funny, helpful characters. Warm & friendly.

I hope no one ever comes here and feels rejected or excluded - or hurt.
(I know this would never be deliberate - but we're all fallible)

I know, like everyone else, I have "embracing all" thoughts; "take offence easily thoughts; "understanding thoughts"; "critical thoughts" - the list is endless..................... The thing is we all do.

The way we may react on one day may be different the next. And...the trouble with the written word is that you can't add an inflection of voice to "temper" a sentence.

I just think it behoves us all to strive to look for the very best in folk. I include myself.

Finding like minded people is lovely, and very comfortable, but, being so fortunate, gives even more reason to ensure that no one feels left out or hurt if they see things a bit differently.

Most folk have a good heart. We all know there is so much real horror & heartbreak in life, that when we can, we must make every effort to "get over heavy ground light" - with a forgiving & charitable outlook.

I hope I haven't made myself forever unpopular posting this but sort of felt 'compelled' - and if I have, well, I have! I can always resign - lol.

It's almost a year since I joined here and I care enough to have wanted to say this. Perhaps there's an advantage to being absent for a bit and having to read up at length - lol.

Anyway, glad you're all ticking over & mostly doing so well
I'll pop back when RL permits - certainly in time to wish you all peace & goodwill & health for Christmas.
