New attys are here, quick question do I put the drip tip all the way down so that it covers the bridgeless atty completely and only the silver threads at the bottom are showing?

I don't know if there's a correct answer to this. I just shove the drip tip on until it's sitting nice and firmly on the atty. How far down it goes depends on the drip tip (and whether it has one of those rubber interior sleeves or not). Some go down all the way to the rim of the atty threading, and some are too tightly fitting to get this far. Also, some new (and especially plastic) drip tips expand a bit after heating up, so you might need to shove them down onto the atty a bit more firmly after a while.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, it's not going so well so far, I'm following instructions exactly, but I'm fluctuating between dry hits and gurgling/total flooding of the battery. This was what I was worried about, but I think it's probably a learning curve thing. Glad I got 2 as I've a feeling I may bugger the first one up

Hmm, some atties can just be a pain and never work right.
Also, I have to say, I found it difficult to find the sweet spot between too wet and too dry when using a bridgeless. I also found it spat more than a bridged. But I've only ever tried one bridgeless, and I discounted this experience as being too small a sample size to reach any conclusions. Even so, I've stuck with bridged since then.
[EDIT: Besides, a lot of people seem to use and prefer the bridgeless ones, so I assume they can work fine and that I probably had a rogue one.]

Think I'm getting it cracked, bloody lovely, Rasberry Dodge Nirvana Aha! Glad to hear it. Sometimes I think it just takes a bit for the atties to get broken in and start wicking properly. (It's the same with clearos and everything else, I guess.) I've had a couple of 306s which I couldn't get working satisfactorily initially, but I put them to one side for a while (after having had some juice in them) and when I tried them again at a later point they worked fine. Some work wonderfully right from the word go. It's all a bit variable!

I keep a duff Ego battery for removing 306's and clearo innards from drip tips/housings Ellen . . . a couple of wiggles and they've normally parted company.
Saves possibly mucking up your threads with pliers.

Thanks Perp, I have been enjoying it, think it needs a lot of breaking in, seems to be almost zero wiggle room though. I go from a great hit to a dry hit, add a couple of drops and then flood the battery. Is a real PITA to be honest but I'm hoping with a bit of practice it will get better. When I do get a good hit its amazing, but the dry hits on either side sort of ruin it. That and having more juice on the battery than I'm vaping.... I will stick with it a bit longer as it is getting better

306's, infact any atomiser's do take a bit of breaking in Ellen, although 306's more so than others somehow . . . dripping technique is a bit like coil making, you do get better the more practise you have.

Glad I got 2 as I've a feeling I may bugger the first one up I've just switched to my bridgeless atty and am finding the same as you, it seems to be drying a lot quicker than the bridged one I was using, and I don't know if it's all in my mind but the flavour with the bridgeless one seems more intense, it's wonderful. It's good to be going through this with a another newbie to dripping.

I think the flavour is supposed to be more intense with the bridgeless one because there isn't anything extra between your mouth and the coil. I think I heard that somewhere. It's still going to take a bit actually a lot more practise for me I think. I don't seem to be completely flooding the battery like I was and I don't seem to get full dry hits now, but I still get half a dry hit or a gurgle. The flavour has been nice when I've had a good hit, but they're few and far between and I'm not sure any better than a dual coil cartomiser, as at least they are consistent. I'm determined to stick with it, hope when the atty breaks in a bit more it will be ok....that will be fine for the one I'm keeping for raspberry dodge, but I don't know how it's going to work for the one I'm supposed to be testing flavours with
