Thought I'd give an update on how I'm getting along with my vaping... So far, I'm absolutely loving it! I'd no intention of trying to quit or cut down on my roll ups until I'd got myself sorted with kit, tastes, nicotine levels etc, and knew what I was doing but since I had my first vape on Thursday evening, I've smoked the grand total of 23 rollies, which for me, is pretty amazing considering how many I would normally have had by now. Most of those have been smoked whilst waiting for the battery to charge - I so wish I had a spare battery! I've ordered the Riva 1100 kit and some pick n mix juices, plus the key ring, just in case I want something a little more discreet for when I'm out. Hopefully, they will be here on Monday so I'll be a really happy bunny then. Another thing I'm pleased about is that my 23 year old son, who I'd discovered had started smoking around 3 years ago, showed interest in my e-cig and was so impressed, has ordered the Riva kit and some juices for himself. Only need to get the hubby converted now, which might prove more difficult...

Thanks for coming along and updating us Jeanie, and yes it's the roll ups you don't smoke that are the ones to count you will love the Riva kit. Like you I didn't intend to quit right away, it just sort of happened naturally, I think you will find when you have the Riva and always have access to a battery those roll ups will be even less, congrats on converting your Son too. Which juices did you choose in the pic & mix?

Hi Jeanie welcome to the forum, you won't find a more helpful forum anywhere. Like you I also have smoked for 40 years plus. I knew it was time to stop when the chest started to get tight, walking upstairs left me breathless and I started to avoid hills!! I have also tried hypnosis, patches, acupuncture etc. And although I bought the ecig and then progressed to the to the Riva 1100 ( you will love it ) deep down I never thought I would be able to do it. But I love vaping and have absolutely no intention or want to go back to the death sticks. I know you will be able to do it, it might take a while to find the right juice, but you will. It might help you to know that the Menthol did it for me ( I needed to feel something hit the back of my throat) I might also add that I hated Menthol ciggies, so that's a bit weird. Anyway good luck and let us know how you are going

Hi Jeanie Before I started vaping I read through this forum for 4 days solid, well worth my time :-) I was also on 100g of tobacco per week and as DDes mentioned I went for the 24mg nicotine strength. I have been vaping about 1.5 weeks now and found sometimes I just could not get the sort of hit that I could from a real cigarette, yesterday I got some low resistance Boge cartomisers (http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/boge-510-low-resistance-%285%29~146) and they really hit the spot for me, also the flavour is so much better. Please keep in mind we all have different tastes. keep your options open for now, it's all about what best suits your needs.
