:)New to e cigs, have bought an intellicig and am ok with it but finding it heavy and too thick after smoking roll ups. Would like an e cig which looks like a ciggie but is small and thin, preferably a UK supplier. Also, which e liquid is the best tobacco flavour in your opinion? Thanks in anticipation

Hi Pixie, I'm sorry you're finding your e-cig too big and heavy - I was a rollie smoker and soon got used to the DSE901 "Mini", which has a different mouthpiece that you might find easier to cope with. It will still be comparatively heavy though. This is the Mini, if you look closely you can see that the "cart"/mouthpiece is flattened somewhat, it's good for gripping with the teeth if that's your bag : Even so, if you stick with the one you've got for a while, you'll be surprised how you adjust. As for the liquid - it's horses for courses, I'm afraid. If you would like to stick with tobacco-y flavours (though they'll all have a sweetness to them because of the base liquid that's used), then Marlboro, 555, State Express, French Pipe (one very long-standing member went from rollies to French Pipe and has always used it). Just thinking, see the thread OK Smokey's 510 kit, they are slimmer than most others, I'll ask him what mouthpieces they have because sometimes they're rounded and sometimes flattened. The same company has also recently introduced Golden Virginia, Old Holborn, and Drum flavours. An experienced vaper said that the Old Holborn was good. Keep your pecker up and keep vaping - go on, punish yerself A bit later... I've written to OK Smokey, he's usually quick to reply but I have to go to sleep now, been up all night Please don't despair, LOADS of us are ex-rollie smokers (I was on 50-60 a day, smoking for 50 years!) so take heart Chrissie and other will come and comfort and advise you soon Later still... Reply from George (OK Smokey), he says he uses the 901 carts with 510 e-cig. That would be the slimmest combo I'm aware of that's commonly available and easy to get spares for. Come back, Pixie, and update us on how you're getting on. scylla

Hello & welcome Pixie I'm also sorry to hear you are finding your e-cig too big & heavy As Scylla says though, you will adjust & get used to the feel of it. A couple of my fave tobacco flavours are Totally Wicked's Hilton & their State Express. www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/totally-wicked-e-liquid-products.htmlHowever, it really is a matter of taste as I know others really dislike those flavours. Another tobacco one i like is Intellicig's Rich tobacco flavour.

I don't know how many components you have with your Evo, Pixie, but if you have enough to keep yourself supplied, always having a fully charged battery to turn to, I would think twice about spending more until you get a bit used to the Evo, because you need more than one kit to keep you going. It would be more economical for you to buy an extra battery and atty (more if you can afford it) and another charger for your Evo, if you can put up with the chunky cart. And you could try that Rich Tobacco juice from the same supplier. The Evo does have a fan base. When some of us started we didn't know about the Evo (it may not have existed) and we mostly started on the darling, dodgy, ubiquitous 901, then some migrated into "mods" like the Screwdriver (but that's very different from smoking a rollie ). So other small e-cigs were bypassed and some of us don't have experience of them. Once you get used to vaping, you may want to get a mod too - for one thing, they're cheaper to maintain because the batteries last longer and are cheap. Don't pressurise yourself at this stage, it's all new and strange for you. I've spent a fortune because of panicking and buying up one e-cig model after another. Keep calm and just count the fags you don't smoke scylla

:)Thanks for the help, a couple more questions. Do you find it easier to draw with a flat mouthpiece? Also, do you fill your own cartridges? I was thinking of trying to use a syring but how much liquid would you put in using a syringe? Also, what are the best syringes? I'm a bit messy you see!!

Well done Lilac Shame about your friend not liking your 901 though Pixie, yes I do find it easier to draw with the flat mouthpieces. I'm wondering if it would be worth you buying a Garry Dibley 901 passthrough to try. Not a huge outlay (OK similar price to a 901 kit but you never have to buy replacement batteries). I also know it may not be for you as it doesn't look anything like a real cig, but if you got one & really hated it, I'd ve happy to buy it off you as a spare www.e-cigcity.co.uk/epages/es120919.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es120919_shop/Products/%22DSE901%20PTP%22Yes we all refill our own cartridges. Most juice comes in either a squeezy bottle with a nozzle on it or a glass bottle with a dripper in the top. Never bothered to use a syringe myself but i think it was Marian that found one of the best syringes was one she got from an ink cartridge refilling set. As for how much you would put in - just enough to get the cartridge filling nice & wet

I personally find a flat ter mouthpiece easier to draw from, but one particular e-cig (801/Penstyle) has a very flat one and makes me have to purse my lips too much (getting older brings on lip-lines on its own, smoking makes them worse, a flat mouthpiece worse still ). If you buy squeazy bottles of juice I don't think you will need to get syringes, but if you want some, then the sort you use to refill print cartridges are OK. I bought some and have never used them - what they are useful for too, is squeazing the juice out of saved-up used stuffings for use in an emergency I'm going to try to find you an Evo users thread, hopefully with some tips 'n tricks in it... but... no breath-holding, Pixie Later... here is Intellicig's forum on ECF, if you need Evo hardware advice (like how best to refill their carts) you will find fellow users there with experience of exactly your model: www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/intellicig/You'd better bookmark it, ECF is a bit of a maze scylla
