Well, they are attacking them for making unsubstantiated claims, poor marketing procedures, and various other legitimate reasons it looks like............ The minute any of us make a health claim, it puts us into medical territory and that requires special trials and licensing. This applies whether we are here or in the US, so the FDA have some valid points in this instance. Plus, that one company selling that e-liquid that claims to have and ED drug in it, come on, there's no room in this industry for that crap, surely? According to my sources, you can't even deliver that drug in vapable format.

I've got such mixed feelings about this I feel that both the FDA & MHRA are going out of their way to find fault with the e-cig. The reason being mainly due to pressure from drug companies. However, I also hate to see some of the crap some vendors come out with.

Agree completely Chris, it's a bit of a witch hunt by the FDA & MHRA, sadly some suppliers seem to be giving them the ammunition to do this.

Still, if they are attacking on points like this rather than attempting to shut things down completely this is actually good news for vendors and customers.

I can understand some of them, the EC, the lobelia but i'm thinking the J.Creek is because it's USA made. They could stop all the Chinese Imports but if thats made in the USA they have to stop it another way.

It is because it's USA made and currently, you do need a license to make nicotine products in the US. I don't believe the same is so here.

As usual, the Yankee Doodle Dandies are making a mountain out of a molehill !! The FDA can very easily bury E-cigs completely if they (really!) wanted to - but all they have done here is given a few Vendors a slap on the wrist and told them to get their shit together !! As far as I'm concerned, this is worth celebrating not whining about !! Still, it's a very interesting move ...... they are obviously using the old "boil the frog" routine and have very cunningly increased the temperature slightly in a very reasonable manner, while not too overtly displaying their real agenda ...... I wonder what Judge Leon The Assassin will make of it ?? No doubt this is a small step towards pushing through "compliancy" legislation in the future, which will be deliberately more invasive and of course so expensive that it effectively "regulates" all the little guys out of business ...... leaving the field wide open for the Big Boys to monopolise, as has always been the plan ...... Possibly they could use similar yet more stringent arguments to "ban" the import of Chinese products ....... naturally this would be welcomed by all the Yank dealers who will have an orgasm at the potential profits to be had ....... but after the applause has died down, will eventually be made much stricter and extended to cover US goods as well ....... can't wait to see what "influence" this will have on the MHRA decision coming up soon ......

Well, there's no talk of banning any supplier, some are simply receiving warnings about making unsubstantiated claims as to the properties of their product. I do still get so annoyed that no claims can be made as to whether or not the e-cig can 'help one quit smoking cigarettes.' It certainly can because many people now no longer smoke tobacco; like me they prefer to vape. Can't say that if I'm a vendor though; heaven forfend that anything good can be said of the e-cig. Fox
