Well ive been smoke free now for 1 month and 20 days and i honestly think i will be smoke free for along time to come
But i was wandering if any of you that have been vaping longer still get cravings for a smoke. I dont really get the craving any more but a couple of times i have been very tempted, twice when i had a few to many beers but it was easy to get over, and one day when i was feeling sorry for myself due to some bad news, i didnt give in but that day was the hardest.
And do you get the taste for a certain liquid, i do, and ive even got it now really fancy a coffee flavour which i will be getting a couple bottle of friday, dont think i ever fancy any other flavour as much, even though im not vaping it i can actually taste it lol

Two some years on, I don't really get cravings as such Mat . . . although sometimes I have a passing fancy for a ciggy, more to see what it's like, than anything else. It passes when I smell a lit ciggy though. Anything sweet I have a taste for.

I'll let you try one of the social smokers on Saturday. I keep one going for those times when I want something different to just vaping. Sometimes having something that looks and feels like a real ciggy still comes in handy. I got so used to going out in the garden for a ciggy when I got really stressed, that I miss that because I'm vaping all day whenever I want. It's not about the nicotine, more the act of sitting there holding something like a real ciggy. Works for me

I'm going to say something that some may find controvesial. When you're sober <--VERY IMPORTANT make sure you have you e-cig with you and that it's ready to go, have a puff on someone's just a puff or 2. I reckon you'll find it disgusting, this will fulfill your curiosity and encourage you never to bother again IMHO.

I agree with Des, I drove myself mad in the first few weeks, I'd have a crap day and obsess about the pack of cigs in my cupboard, thinking I wanted a real cig. About 3 weeks into vaping, a very bad day I decided I was going to have one. I couldn't make it past 3 puffs, it was so disgusting I had to brush my teeth and wash my hands straight away.

Be careful about giving a real one a try m8. It may work for some people, but I've heard from people who ended up back on the cigs doing that. You never know how it may effect you, especially if you are feeling low or stressed out.

You never know how it may effect you, especially if you are feeling low or stressed out. Yes, I should have added, not stressed and having your favourite juice in the e-cig. And as a disclaimer this is my opinion based on having the last cigarette that I did after only one week of vaping. Back in them days all there virtually was 901 cig-a-likes. I was at the pub and mine failed and I asked a mate for a cigarette, I took 3 puffs and nearly puked, that was the last cigarette I had; almost 3 years ago now and I have no intention of ever having one again. It was good aversion therapy for me, even if all the e-cigs disappeared off the planet tomorrow I would still not have a cigarette.

Twice I've thought about buying tobacco but just out of frustration, a 601 pipe I got from China packed in after 6 days had I gone to Tescos for shopping I would have bought pipe tobacco I went to Sainsburys who dont do one I like the other time I took a flat ego battery to work I got by with a Riva 901 an atomiser and a couple of half filled tanks, but I've had no cravings.
