Could the major press & news teems be enticed to get involved re exposing the e cig subject? After all it's quite a good story. Lots of controversy already to get their teeth into! We mustn't loose legal e cigs - it's crazy talk from the bureaucrats. You guys must be climbing the walls! I'm frustrated & furious already. I know at least 20 smokers - NONE of them had heard of e cigs until I stumbled across them last month. If ONLY more people KNEW about them - not just smokers but EVERYONE. Surely LOADS of folk would be really supportive - IF they knew. Could the suppliers / manufacturers sponsor factual info sheets to mail out, (including the threat of legislation also) They could be sent to every major national paper etc etc etc. I know e cigs cannot be, (legislation again), presented as an aid to quit smoking, BUT that people do switch over is FACT. It doesn't affect those around us (like cigarettes) & we should have freedom of choice. The petitions are a must, but the public need to know about them. Can we all go to a massive amount of inconvenience & have a protest march, ending with the handing in of the petition to the Prime Minister? Or is that a crazy idea? It would make the news though & the general public would be more aware. Apologies to all for going on a bit (restrained use of smilies this time! lol)

Y'know I'd really do it. Not much impact if only 3 people turned up tho!! I was up for making a board on a stick to carry too!
To march or not to march.........
What about contacting the press tho'

I'd have to have a portaloo in my backpack - I very much supported the anti-war march but couldn't possibly have joined in I've thought about contacting the press. You weren't here at the time, but there have been some VERY ignorant articles published > scylla

Lolli, never feel you need to apologies for "going on a bit" Your posts are brilliant I certainly don't think a march is a daft notion at all. But I for one would not be able to travel to London to join in.

Had 2 emails today from suppliers I have bought from. Both emails urging vapers to respond to the proposed legislation. I know this link is in the petition thread but I'm also going to plonk it in here as well : www.mhra.gov.uk/Publications/Cons..../MLXs/CON065617Well done to Lisa (Cloud9) & Jason (Totally Wicked) for sending out those emails.

Thank you lots Chrissie That link gives me "Error, page cannot be displayed" - but maybe that's just my temperamental computer? Is this the petition to the PM (signed that) or another one? (I know there's another one that I can't get into at all) ??? I wonder how many could get to London tho' ? - especially if more people (jo public) were made aware thro' INFORMED, TRUTHFUL press? 'Nother thing - what about contacting civil liberty groups??? - there is a matter of principal here after all!!! Minority groups should be safe to practice their own "whatevers" AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT HARM OR THREATEN OTHERS. We are a minority group - AT THE MO! I definitely feel my rights may be further violated!! I believe in democracy! (re Karma - I would like to smite a few of these ignorant, sadly influential folk! > - but they're not members!) Hey, wonder if any MPs have e cigs?

The link to the petition that TW sent in the first email was incorrect. Another, showing the correct link followed: Both relevant links are in my signature below.
